“joe’s is and will always be one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. I want to personally think the man that saw my husband having issues with his wheelchair and took his order and payment from the car so that my disabled husband would have an easier time. we accidentally sound this place before we even moved to Rio Rico. we were looking for a house and stopped to have a bite for lunch. we each got three tacos (birria and carne asada) and were FLOORED at how delicious and authentic the food was! (and the condiments/sides ? wow!) we normally return once a week for the entire year we’ve been living here, and every single time the food, staff, and service have been more than exceptional. they treated my husband like beloved family.Joe’s has turned us into customers for life!!! thank you Joe’s!Wheelchair accessibility: Not only is Joe’s wheelchair accessible, one of the employees saw that My Husband was having issues with his wheelchair, the man saw this, and came right out to the car to take his order and process his payment for him so he didn’t have to overexert himself. He then delivered the food to the car window. Treated My Husband like a best friend would.“
“My fiancée and I have been coming here recently and every visit the food has been great, and this place has a cozy atmosphere that is really refreshing. I tried the BLT Burger last time, and this time I got the Beef Chimichanga, and the fiancée had the Beef Chimichanga, and we were both very happy with what they brought out! Food was delicious and the wait staff are very friendly and accommodating. Check this place out! You won’t regret it!“
“We have eaten here before and haven't been disappointed. My son in law and I ordered the whole fish. They really know how to cook it, done but still moist. My wife had a delicious chicken enchiladas. Our granddaghter had a shrimp taco and a shrimp tostada, very good!“
“The cheese crisp with shredded turkey and green chilies was excellent! The margaritas were great and they were served to the table unbelievably fast. The blueberry 'burro' for dessert was so good. A very nice balance of cinnamon, sugar and very lightly fried. An all around great experience.“
“If you are looking for an authentic taco spot, this is it! We took a mini day trip to try these tacos and it was definitely worth it! The restaurant is off the road a little, but you will find it easily. There is a little outdoor area and inside, just so you know they do not serve the outside, so you can order your food wait and bring the plate outside if you want to eat there. We got the birria tacos and broth, cameron (shrimp), and dorado tacos. *Tip* Drip the dorado taco into whatever broth you get!!!! Everything was very good and came out very quickly. Do not worry if there is a long line, they will get you food out quick. Nothing was bad, would definitely go back and try all the other tacos and ceviche!“
“We’re tourists visiting the local area and wanted authentic Mexican food and found very good food here. It had high ratings and we could see why. A good indication was that there were many locals. It’s a small place with four booths and a counter with six stools, two very nice ladies cooked it right in front of us and we think it was Bobby who’s very nice as well. It is located at a swap meet which didn’t bother us in the slightest. Great food and we would be glad to go back.“
“I was in elementary when this place first opened! Locally owned by a wonderful man, passed on to his family. It was a hidden gem and has never disappointed...in 30 years!!! I've moved away and every time I was back in Nogales (home) I had to get my finito-fix. Now I've moved closer and I'm able to share the experience with my daughter. Truly NOTHING like these finitos! No snow cone, raspado, whatever is comparable...ONE OF A KIND!!! My fav is half tamarindo, half limon with a saladito...oh sooo good! Bring cash!“
“I was told to go to Zula's for the Zula burger, and I agree, it was tasty. It came with fries, and the price was right. I was too full to try a slice of pie, but I will the next time I'm there. The servers were great, and the place filled up by the time I left.“
“Delicious, everything starting with the service is a small but delicious restaurant with a very good atmosphere and very friendly and helpful owners. I recommend this restaurant and the coffee ☕️ not to mention delicious ? ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“
“Very good food! I got lemonade and 4 tacos and one was called pirata and it had steak and bacon, the other 3 were excellent too. I didn't get the names but just let him make 3 for me, one had pork and one had chicken. Very good would definitely go back!La comida estan muy bien! Me gusta lo mucho! El taco pirata (nunca escucho eso) es muy bueno!“
“Pasta soup included with 3 carne asada tacos, beans and rice on the side.Vegetarian options: Variety of dish vegetarians can eat.Kid-friendliness: Kid can enjoy the same delicious meal.Parking: Plenty of parking for both restaurants side by side.Wheelchair accessibility: Smooth leveled flooring.Dietary restrictions: Order made to your liking.“
“Every time we come here, the service is great, food is delicious and prices are great too. Today, I had a question regarding a food allergy and he was knowledgeable (you don’t get a lot of this lately)& offered different food options.“
“I just had the chimichanga with sides of rice and refried beans. WOWZA!!! Food was delicious. My server was so friendly and attentive to my needs. I don't think enough people know about this place. If you're one of those people, you owe it to yourself to go and experience what a great traditional restaurant should be like. Full menu is available.“
“This has been my mom's, who has Alzheimer's now, favorite restaurant for decades. I was finally able to take her to eat there last week, and even though it's a hole in the wall restaurant, the food is still excellent and is still reasonably priced. And the people running the show over there still remember Mom and they treat her with the utmost respect, and that, more than anything, sets this place apart from other restaurants. I would recommend this place to anybody asking for a suggestion.“
“We were a couple of out-of-towners looking for a good place to grab lunch near where we happened to be. Papa Locos Tacos and Burgers had basically a 5 star rating with tons of reviews. They can't be wrong. And they aren't! I had the chile relleno burger combo. Wow! The chile relleno was huge! And it was on top of the burger! And it had lots of cheese! And the sauce was very good! A great kick to it. The fries were delicious and there were plenty of 'em. A side of the hot sauce helped ensure the kick was evenly distributed. My colleague had the enchilocos with carnitas inside. They were deep fried enchiladas with fully packed with flavorful meet. The side if rice and beans was bountiful. The staff were eager to please. They encouraged us to avail ourselves of the drinks in the gas station if we wanted something other than Pepsi products. I got a large glass of Horchata, which was a nice way to tone down the fire from the sauce. On the way out, the staff offered us to-go cups, which we gladly accepted to squelch the remaining fire on our lips. Inside the adjacent gas station, I noticed a good sale on sports ball caps and a barber shop on the side. This place has it all! If I am ever back in the area, I'd make a point to come back to Papa Locos Tacos. It is one of a kind!“
“This is a food truck and the food and price are amazing. We had a breakfast burrito and an egg plate and I have not had a breakfast that great in a while. If you are passing through and want a great breakfast this is for sure a great option. Their lunch menu looked great as well and tons of locals showed up as repeat customers.“
“Good service from the staff. The food was pretty good. I would say the prices are quite good but they can improve as well as the parking which is very limited and the atmosphere is family-friendly. Apart from everything mentioned above, it is a good place to take the family.“
“The food truck is located under a bridge with limited parking. There are a few tables available outdoor, of course. The food is amazing, to say the least; I returned a second time in the same day and wasn't disappointed. Also, this would be a budget traveler's dream for the price range, 5 tacos for under $10.“
“Stopped by on accident after getting off the i19 for some fuel, decided I could go for some tacos....WOW!!! ? I'm glad I did! The Carne Asada tacos were some of the best I've had! Paired it with a Mexican Coca-Cola to make it a perfect pit stop. The Food came out quickly, tables were clean, staff spoke both English & Español. I will return whenever I am in the area! Definitely give this spot a try.“
