I ordered the spicy tuna bowl and it was AMAZING! I added cucumber and lots of crunch lol. I’m a snob when it comes to spicy tuna but they had the perfect flavor of spicy. My favorite thing however was not the tuna but the sushi rice. Many places will give you sticky sushi rice and then sauce and such and it works. They season the rice how it should making it super flavorful just on its own. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

My wife and I went here for lunch while visiting Scottsdale. The place was not crowded. We arrived about 30 minutes after it opened. But almost immediately, our waiter made us feel like we were more of a distraction than customers. He was yacking it up with another patron, who seemed like a 'regular' - and doing god knows what, scurrying around behind the counter.
The seaweed in the salmon avocado roll thst I had was old, I believe - chewy and tough. The sticky rice was not very sticky. I ordered salmon nigiri with the roll. The two pieces of salmon were massive, like small fillets that were too big for the rice they rested upon. That might have been great but they were, I believe, old and tough as well. I also had a baked salmon appetizer. The salmon had grayish tint to it and it was overcooked, and not fresh from the taste and smell of it. I didn't eat much of it.
My wife and I eat sushi quite often at least 2-3 times a month. We've had sushi in restaurants from coast to coast. I've had sushi in Tokyo. This was the by far the least satisfying sushi experience either of us have had.

These folks are very rude to dashers, I’ve eaten here plenty of times. Knowing and seeing them treat dashers like crap makes me never want to come here again. Literally watched a man go in and get ignored for over 10 minutes before the hostess even acknowledged him.

There are 2 BEI that I know of in south Scottdale. The one at Hayden and Thomas has a nice airy motif, and self service ice water; the one on scottsdale road has a bar, happy hour 430 to 7 and reverse 9 to 11.

I recently came back to check out this restaurant which I believe is under its new management, and I’m glad I did. While the kitchen items were always a hit for us, the sushi is now solid too.
I appreciate some of he new menu changes, especially the creative cocktails and the subtle yet fun updates to the decor, like the lighting. Good specials as well.
The new staff is friendly, and even though the service is still coming together, I'll returning.

Great beer selection, reasonably priced, and fast service. Went here in a pinch because our normal sushi place was closed on a Sunday. Something was off about their eel sauce, it was thick and had a jelly-like consistency. I asked the server if that was normal and they said yes. It was not appealing or appetizing so we didn’t eat most of our food.

I ordered through DoorDash but I wanted to post a review here as well because this is the best sushi I have had in quite some time. I got the California Roll and Spicy Tuna Roll. Both super yummy! I can't wait to try everything on the menu! Haha I think I found my new sushi home. 🩵

Good sushi, prices, & service.
We love Bei as the food is always fresh and delicious. They are pretty reasonable on their prices. It's our favorite sushi place.

The sushi is just straight up imitation crab, the specialty rolls all suck, it's americanized sushi. Bunch of mayo, bunch of immitation crab.
My husband and I came here once on a whim and now we come back nearly every time we're in the valley. Their sticky rice is fantastic
