We came to Din Tai Fung Scottsdale on a Tuesday afternoon at around 1:30PM and even a weekday without reservations we came as a walkin and had to wait about 30 minutes for a table which is to be expected because this restaurant is a well-known and popular eatery. Din Tai Fung is a well-known and popular eatery. The Scottsdale location is very nice and spacious inside with clean and modern decor, and the atmosphere is very relaxed. The service was excellent, and the dishes are served family style with plates placed at the center of the table. The food was really good and tasty. Every dish ordered was incredible, including Wood Ear Mushroom in Vinegar, Noodles with minced Kurobuita pork, crab and Kurobuta pork Xiao Long Bao, String beans and garlic, Black Pepper and Beef Tenderloin, and Chocolate Mochi Xiao Long Bao for dessert. The chocolate mochi is so good. The food is worth the hype and exceptional, well worth the wait. Even after ordering quite a few dishes, the food was so tasty that almost everything was eaten. The atmosphere is great, and waiters are very friendly. The desserts were da bomb. It is still very busy, but the food is worth it. Don't feel too full after leaving, really great food.
