Viewers,
Los Sombreros was…alright.
If you’re looking for alright food, alright drinks, alright atmosphere, alright location etc. this is your place!

The Good:

The service was simple, quick, kind. It’s what you expect when eating at a restaurant. Our server was very nice. Straight to the point with no unnecessary chit chat and no cold shoulders. Just one look and she was on the way to answer the call. When we asked for a special request she was very quick about it. Which makes any restaurant experience seamless.

The Bad:
There were so many little things that just kept knocking our score down. First, the water came out in dirty glasses (uh oh). Never a good first impression. We asked for the Guacamole to start. It was a bit bland and the portion was lack luster. When the food came, it was luke warm. Which was disappointing since the flavors were good.

The coffee was cold. Cold. Which became colder with the few creams they gave us. Between two people they served us five creams. Five. We had to fight for the extra one! Which did keep us entertained. Rock paper scissors to the rescue. The flavor profile of the coffee was not so good and a bit burnt. You expect Cafe de la Olla flavors but here…not so much.

Speaking of, the rice was the only food on our table that lacked a good, fresh flavor. Maybe more cumin? The Mole sauce was delicious. Not overly sweet for any of those who are wondering. It could’ve been spicier. Richer.

The menu has a very similar pallet, we would like freshness, light and tangy flavor! Anything to uplift us from the heat and no…not a drink. It took us a minute to decide what to choose. It felt that most of this would just taste the same or invoke the same feeling.

We think this place can be GREAT. We will have to come back and see if they have any seasonal dishes.

We found Los Sombreros completely by accident and wound up thoroughly enjoying our meal here.

The Los Sombreros parking lot is tight and finding a space at dinner could be a little difficult, but there is plenty street parking along side and behind the restaurant.

The restaurant is on the smaller side, with several tables on the inside and several tables on the back covered patio. It was crowded when we had dinner, but the tables are spaced enough that you didn't feel like you were on top of one another. The decor is fun with exposed brick, wood beams, painted murals, and an eclectic mix of furniture and decorations. Very clean, bright space to enjoy a meal.

Our server, Jason, was very attentive and gave some good suggestions on what to try. The rest of the staff were also friendly. The chips and salsa were very good, and felt like they were freshly made. The house salsa is thick, not runny and had great flavor. We wound up getting the Puerco en Mole Verde and the Chicken Tortilla Soup. Both were fantastic! Everything was properly prepared.

The prices are a slight bit higher than some other places, but the quality of the ingredients here more than makes up for the price. I would definitely eat here again the next time I'm in the area!

Had another great dinner at Los Sombreros. This time I tried the Carnitas Enchiladas upon recommendation of our server. They were fantastic and now may be my go to there. My wife had Shrimp Tacos and they were great. We usually get the Ceviche and last night it was SPICY but great. Love this restaurant, keep it going guys!

If I could rate this place 0, I would. Our server engaged with two guests who are, clearly, anti-Semitic. If any Jews, that care, want to respond, please do. Can humans have humanity?? In my experience today, nope! If we’re together, let’s make sure we’re together!

Awesome food and excellent wait staff, shout out Todd! This was my family's first couple of visits here, one was a larger group celebrating a bday dinner, and another for a small number for brunch, and the ambience was awesome each time. The next move is patio dining, looks like a Gorj type of scene & great place for cocktails & such. We SHALL RETURN...good job Los Sombreros, let's get it!! πŸ˜ƒ

My son and I are constantly looking for new places to go for Happy Hour. We decided to try Los Sombreros a try. The inside was quaint and on the smaller side while the back patio offered more. We opted to sit inside because it was north of 100Β° when we went. They offer a very limited drink and food Happy Hour menu. Chips and salsa were delivered to our table almost immediately. Rosie was quick to get our orders and answer any questions about the menu. started off with 1 drink each, guac and thr Elote. I got the Paloma and it did not disappoint. The appetizers came and I would say the guacamole was good but the Elote was out of this world! Our meals came and looked great. He got the carnitas enchiladas and I got the chicken stuffed pompano (i cant remember the name of it). Both were super tasty. The bill was just over $80 which flet a little steep. Would we go back? Yes, but not often.
