I’m surprised by the positive reviews of Los Sombreros. My friend and I visited because of them - we were looking for somewhere with good food after the Desert Botanical Garden. The service was very friendly here but the food was tremendously underwhelming. I’m from the Bay Area, so maybe I’m just spoiled but the food (tacos & elote) was overpriced, the portions small, and the flavor barely noticeable.

Oh my goodness! Living in Arizona I’ve been to quite a few Mexican restaurants, but this is BY FAR the best Mexican restaurant I’ve been to. The flavors are fresh and phenomenal. Not too spicy, just perfection.
I had the pechuga rellena and the sauce alone could win award. We definitely will be returning and recommending to everyone we know.
