We had a good dinner. There were things that made this not the right place for us. The restaurant is at the top floor of the hotel but we had to walk through the casino to get there. Just loud and not very romantic for us personally. The restaurant main dining area is on the larger size and not as intimate as we prefer. The staff was great but they were always scurrying through the restaurant. Seemed more like a problem with not enough people. They were great but clearly overworked....
After ordering our wine - a very nice local AZ wine - our meal began with our server, Anthony, carefully reviewing the menu and answering our questions, making sure to jot down any diet restrictions. We chose his suggested meatball appetizer which was excellent! For the entree we split the Chef's cut filet, Oscar style. It was done perfectly! We added the wild mushrooms and the cauliflower gratin. Everything tasted fantastic as it should at these prices! Was it worth it?...
Orange Sky is hands down my favorite restaurant at Talking Stick! The food is always hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious, and the service is exceptional. We had the Brussels sprouts, filet, and shrimp, and a Smokey old fashioned everything was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. The beautiful view and elegant atmosphere make the experience even more special. It is definitely on the pricier side, but in my opinion, it’s well worth it for a special occasion. Orange Sky...
