First visit to portillos and we are very impressed. Wife and I ordered a cheeseburger, a spicy chicken sandwich and a regular hotdog, along with fries. The burger and chicken sandwich were great. Nice kick to the chicken sandwich. French fries were good, not great. All in all very happy with the food and will be going very soon.

Fun vibe with energetic, friendly staff! I loved the Chicago dog with fries and cheese sauce. My husband thought the Italian beef sandwich was just okay because it only had a few sweet peppers. Overall, a great spot and we’d definitely come back!

Being born and raised in Chicago, I grew up on Italian Beef sandwiches, Italian Sausage sandwiches and Vienna Beef hot dogs, which are the ONLY brand that tastes great without any toppings! Their Italian meatballs are the best I've ever had at any Italian style eatery. Burgers and French fries are fabulous! Strawberry shortcake is as delish as it gets, but their chocolate cake is simply to die for. I recommend getting a side of flavorful gravy to dip your beef or sausage...
