We loved our server, Catherine! She was great. Perfect timing with checking on the table and service. Everything was phenomenal, there were points where it felt like we were being upsold too much during dinner. Great follow up with all staff and great recommendations as well. Loved Talavera, will definitely be back!
It had been a couple years since I had been to Talavera. We enjoyed our dining experience by starting with salads. My husband had the endive and I had the tomato and stone fruit. Both were very good. The stone fruit was colorful and sweet—a perfect summer salad. My husband opted for a couple of tapas and I had the meat paella, which was a very generous portion. I took at least half of it home. It could have been more generous with the meat and less rice for the cost of the dish....
We have dined in Talavera several times thru the years and expect the world class service of a Four Seasons property dining option. Always a treat but this dinner was a bit off. The starters, ie. their signature bread/butter/olive oil and shrimp gambas always a favorite. For the main course, I decided on the Kansas City steak, medium rare. Unfortunately it tasted off ... tasted ham-like with a chemical after taste. Opted to change it. I shifted to the filet mignon which was acceptable....
