In a mostly empty restaurant I was seated behind a wall. Not a problem as I was alone and planning to read but as you asked about atmosphere, there was none. My food was a little better than ok. I did not get the additions I asked for but I wasn’t charged for them. I guess that’s a wash. As a server, Sarah S was pretty bad. Clearly in a rush (again, mostly empty restaurant and I did not see her serve another table) she checked on me once immediately after my food was served....
After being out of the country for a year, this was our first stop to get our American breakfast fix. We've been coming here for years and it's always just as good. Reliable, tasty food with good service in a clean space.
The prices were above what I would have expected but I was blown away at the precise cooking (which takes skill) and taste of the food so we will come back. The chicken fried steak and eggs were one of the best I've had but not the best but still really REALLY good. The English muffin I suspect was made there as it wasn't what you normally get from food distributors like Cisco and was also very good. The hash browns were also cooked to perfection.
