This place was closed last week.. I just kept driving by and it’s finally open. I got kalbi and the meat taste kind of old and bland. I need to tried Sunna still but I currently recommend Bunbuku. They are dead here. The guy was outside smoking and he seems irritated that I came so I ordered togo. My order was $27.10 for 9 pieces of short ribs.
They have the incorrect price online for Bulgoki it says 12.99 but when I arrived I was charged 14.99 plus tax. And that was the supposed lunch special. They don't speak any English its difficult to communicate. I pointed out the price he just stared at me. The food was old everything except for the rice. And when I asked so what's the actually price he pulled out a calculator typed in new total and laughed. If u decide to order togo from them, I suggest you look at the food before paying. I will never go back again. They hardly get business and now I understand why. A complete waste of $16 and some change. I will be contacting the health department making an official complaint.
This is a gem korean restaurant. I had the mandoo soup, tofu soup, and combination fried rice. Fast service and the food speaks for itself.
This was the second time I have visited this establishment. The floors, table, and seating were sticky. There is poor ventilation and the open kitchen did not appear to be very clean. We ordered the fried mandu and did not receive any dipping sauce for it. My husband and my meal did not come with any side dishes. Drinks were not refilled. When I asked why we didn't receive any side dishes, his response was incomprehensible. If I'm going to pay above average prices for Korean food, I'd like to know why I didn't receive everything that is to be accompanied with it. The owner even stepped outside to have a cigarette and throughout the whole time, I did not see him wash his hands. Unfortunately, this will be the last time I will be visiting this establishment.
Took me back to my days in S Korea (Back in 2002 - 03) The Beef Bulgogi was great!!!Kamsahamnida (감사합니다)!!!!
To greasy gave me grumble gut. Seasoning, owner/cook, and waitress are great, just got to ease up on the grease and select a higher quality meats.
Very friendly. Food was delicious.
Nothing Impressive. Other places are a lot better
Easily the best Asian food in SV! We both tried the sizzling bibimbop and it rocked! For the uninitiated, it’s basically a hot stone bowl that keeps the food hot as you eat. The owners were very kind and funny. There is a self-serve bar for sides in a metal case that you wouldn’t know about unless you ask or see someone else go to. Feel free to dig in, they have plates for all the side dishes. Everything was fresh and delicious!! Fair prices. Only downside was the restaurant was in a very basic space but the food was so good I didn’t care.
Had a pleasant dinner here with friends. This Korean restaurant is simple but the food is authentic and the service extremely accommodating. The banchans (side dishes) were fantastic and although there was only one chef who also worked as the waiter, we did not have to wait too long for our food. He was friendly and answered all my requests. Parking is out front. Will come again! Highly recommend the yukaejang (spicy beef stew).
Restaurantji Recommends
This place is great. Owner doesn't speak English terribly well, but if you have a bit of patience, you'll get some of the best Korean food in Sierra Vista. My sister thinks it's the best Korean place in town. I'm not so sure about that, but it's certainly no slouch.
Went with a group of friends and had a pretty good time. Place looks a little sketch on the outside but the food is amazing and the two workers there are very kind. Service was quick and fairly cheap, definitely recommend.
Although the Mandu and the Kimchi soup are my favorite...they continue to miss the mark on orders that are called in. HE rushes you off the phone then always messes up the order. No matter how good your food may be customer service is still and should always be a priority. This has happened to me at least 6 times prior to today and today made the 7th and my entire lunch hour is wasted. Myself and my coworkers will not be coming to this restaurant again.
Great Korean home cooking owned and run by a mom and pop team. You can tell the chef really loves to make food people enjoy. The food was great, well portioned, lots of delicious sides, and genuinely kind people.
Food was really good, but having someone hovering at the table and helping me eat my food was very uncomfortable. For that reason, I won’t be back.
