My wife Yolanda and I ate here last Friday and she wasn’t sure what to expect, but she was really happy once we got inside. It’s a very nice restaurant — roomy, nice atmosphere, and the wait staff was attentive and on point the whole time. The manager even checked in to make sure everyone was okay. If you want an authentic Italian experience food made from scratch. It’s amazing !!! You can’t get this anywhere else. Support local , support small family business, support fresh ingredients. This is a great addition to Surprise . Great owners and great staff .
Great food! First time going there and we were not disappointed! Highly recommend for great Italian food!

Osteria Mia is a nice restaurant in Surprise with a roomy atmosphere and lots of windows. The decor is simple, without a lot of Italian decorations. The wait staff is attentive and on point, constantly checking on tables and filling drinks without being overbearing. The manager also checks in to make sure everyone is okay.
The food is authentic Italian, made from scratch with fresh ingredients. The menu includes Brussels sprouts, El Capo pizza, Caesar salad, lasagna alla bolognese, roasted red pepper and mushroom and fig jam with prosciutto bruschetta, meatballs and marinara sauce, tortelloni, squid ink spaghetti with shellfish, Gemmeli script pasta, branzino, crème brûlée, and cannoli. The pasta is the best some have had in a long time. The prices are not expensive compared to other places, and the food is high quality.
This is a great addition to Surprise and a small family business with great owners and great staff. Service is fantastic, and large groups are handled well. Most guests say the food is delicious and amazing, though one found the lasagna not what was expected and the branzino too salty and the fish dry. Many will be back.
