Berry Divine Acai Bowls

This was the worst Acai I had. Almost no fruits, granola was super dry and tasted like it is expired, not much fruits at all. And half of cup was just air.

Okay so never in my life have I had an açaí bowl that once I started eating it… I wanted to throw it away. Maybe this was my fault, maybe it was an off night, maybe I didn’t actually want a bowl to begin with. The point stands, it wasn’t good. Beyond the disappointment of the bowl itself… the service left a lot to be desired. I get it, it’s close to ASU, it’s a bunch of college student, but I felt stupid standing at the counter for five minutes in an empty store waiting for someone to come take my order. Well… this chain’s location in Sedona is decent, I enjoyed it, but Tempe… in the kindest way… never again.

They were friendly and the atmosphere was fine but the acai was hollow and not built over the bowl like in the pictures.

Normally I have no issue with this place.

I ordered a bowl with protein this time, and they add the protein powder as a layer onto of the acai.

The excuse was that the acai comes from a soft serve machine.

Other places, like Nekter, will blend it in for you. Not this place.

Worst acai bowl I've ever had.

The flavor is great. But I ordered a large bowl with granola on the side (no fruit). It was filled to the top, in one line, and it’s hollow. Really not worth the price.

Nice healthy concept. However, prices definitely need to be re-evaluated unless your goal is to contribute to the inflation of health food prices. This was my main disappointment.

Interior space is difficult to flow to from register to seating area and sewage odor upon entering and exiting store is off-putting.
After a deliciously high priced can of coconut water, that will be my first and final visit with all due respect.

Such a rip off. Why is everyone here so rude?! Accurate reviews of the bowls being hollow.. brought to their attention and they look at me like I’m crazy 🤷‍♀️ it’s not personal, it’s business.

Rip off for what you get. They swirl the açaí in the bowl in a circle so the entire middle is empty!! A medium is $12 which is expensive for a hollowed out frozen açaí. We’ve been there a couple of times and they purposely leave the entire middle empty every time and totally rip you off. I was so disgusted I took a pic. I asked them not to make it hollow and this - again - is what I for. I asked about it and they say that’s how they’re told to make them!

I am absolutely mortified! A year or so ago, I came here and got my normal Vortex bowl, however, I felt that it had far too much granola. I went and inquired as to why, but I was not met with very little concern. Back then, I felt a rude vibe that I found to be off putting. However that did advise me going forward to request only one scoop to prevent any more similar occurrences. Going forward, I did just that as I continued to frequent Berry Divine. There were no further issues and I continued to enjoy and frequent Berry Divine.

Today, however, I ordered my normal large Vortex and took bites as I sat in my truck distracted by work etc….. When I was halfway finished, I noticed that the granola was continuing to dominate the bowl. I went inside to politely remind the cashier of my request, as I was confident that she would remember and wish to make it right.

However, I observed what appeared to be the these young ladies closing ranks and viewing me with suspicion. I was extremely uncomfortable as they advised me to dump the granola out myself, and they would add extra acai. This struck me as odd, as there seemed to be no accountability on their part for the blunder. I admit that I had eaten half and would have accepted a new small bowl, but now, my concern was with the suspicious vibes they were giving off, rather than my stupid Acai bowl. So, I asked the girl that appeared to be in charge what the issue seemed to be. She replied, “I recognize you, and you do this alot, trying to get free Acai.” I felt as if I had left my own body! Why would she say something so far from the truth!?! Had I known that my character would be unnecessarily called into question from trying to get a little bit of what I had payed for, I would NEVER have even complained. What resulted next was a minor scene. A customer that had no idea what had taken place decided to speak up for the employees because she perceived that they were calm and I was upset. I get it, she didn’t hear what they said to me, and probably didn’t care. But I couldn’t walk away after that accusation. I wasn’t angry, I didn’t cuss, swear or call names. But I stood with intensity, trying to get some kind of resolve from the unexpected pain of their shocking accusation. I was frozen from embarrassment. I literally did not know how to react. I had only had one negative experience at this place amongst dozens of positive experiences. I left these young ladies tips, despite them being rude at times. They had no right to call out my character for expecting to receive what I asked for, then patronize, gaslight and dismiss me as if I’m some common moocher. I had EVERY right to be highly offended! I gave them back whatever was left of my bowl and refused to take anything from them. I thought that they recognized and knew me as a good customer. I had only politely complained once, a long time ago, and received nothing because I learned how to order going forward, no problem. But I would never plot to get free food!

I will never ever step foot in this store again. I’m sure they perceived me to be angry and the problem was my own, but the truth is that I was/am deeply hurt and offended at the indignity! I came her A LOT, I thought they recognized and appreciated my service. But, apparently they think I’m a bum, even though they’ve NEVER given me anything free. I, however, have spent more than my share of money. It’s obvious that these children that work here haven’t learned to be careful in what they say to hard working people that they truly do not know.

I have been coming here for 3-4 year and never ever thought ill be writing it I have ordered 4 large ( they where half inside) they have did all wrong in every order I placed ( I add 2 item to every order) never ill be coming back unless they'll replace there rude worker!
