I was ordering at a Starbucks when my partner pointed out there was an Ethiopian restaurant in the same plaza and I booked it across the parking lot to try it (my partner stayed at Starbucks but he knows I LOVE Ethiopian food). I ordered the doro wat (can't spell it, sorry!) And it was so good! The spices were delicious, the chicken was so tender. But I had to order it WITH egg, they don't automatically just give you one. I hate that this place is such a far drive from me, but if I'm ever in the area again, you bet I'm coming back. Love this place! Highly recommend!
I was invited as a guest to this café during my first visit to Phoenix on June 4th, 2025. I can't thank them enough for the wonderful service and delicious food — it was truly awesome!
My friend and I felt great after enjoying their combo meal, even though we had it late at night, which usually leaves us feeling uncomfortable. This time, it felt light and healthy.
This café is definitely a spot I’ll make sure to stop by again whenever I’m in Phoenix. Thank you once again!
Nice vegetarian selection and this beer was great 👍.
Our worst restaurant experience ever.
From the moment we were seated, the service was unacceptable. The waitress completely ignored us at first, and when she finally approached, she showed no courtesy while taking our order. After placing the order, no one returned for nearly 30 minutes — no updates, no water, no basic service.
When she eventually brought the food, it was the wrong order. We politely pointed this out, and instead of apologizing or correcting it professionally, she returned with the correct dishes and forcefully placed them on the table, showing clear irritation.
What made this even more disturbing was the feeling of being racially discriminated against. The attitude, neglect, and manner of service felt intentionally disrespectful and dismissive. Other tables were treated with much more attention and basic decency.
This kind of behavior is unacceptable and deeply hurtful. No one should be made to feel unwelcome or invisible because of who they are.
A quiet restaurant with delicious food and quality service, what more could you want?
Great authentic Ethiopian food
Great food and service. It's one of my favorite restaurants.
The monthly vegan buffet was amazing! It was my first time trying Ethiopian food, so I’m not sure what everything was called. But I loved all the flavors and will absolutely return!
We have been coming here off and on for a decade. Food, as always, was great, and we took some folks who had never had Ethiopian food and they really enjoyed it. However, the service really needs work. Look, I'm not hard to please, just bring my food and drink and that's about it. My one requirement is, literally, don't be rude to me - that's how easy I am. However, the attitude from the server was very off-putting and if we're gonna get auto-charged gratuity for a party (we weren't even a party of 6), then at least give me that bare minimum. With that experience and there being other great options in the valley, I'd be hard-pressed to go back. Whoever is front of the house needs an attitude check or you'll start losing customers or keep new ones from coming back.

We recently had the pleasure of dining at this fantastic restaurant with a group of friends and their families, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment we stepped in, the ambiance was warm and inviting, setting the perfect backdrop for an evening filled with laughter and delicious food.
We explored the menu, which was a treasure trove of culinary delights. In fact, there wasn’t a single dish that didn’t pique our interest! We decided to try a variety of about 12 different dishes, each more incredible than the last. From savory appetizers to mouthwatering mains, every bite was a burst of flavor. It was clear that each plate was crafted with care and expertise, making it difficult to pick a favorite.
The staff at the restaurant were absolutely exceptional. They were attentive without being intrusive, always ready with a smile and a recommendation. Their knowledge of the menu was impressive, and their suggestions truly elevated our dining experience. It felt like we were being guided through a delightful culinary journey, and we appreciated their enthusiasm for the food they served.
Another bonus was the parking situation. The restaurant boasts a spacious parking lot, making it convenient for our group to gather without any hassle.
All in all, our evening was filled with great company, delectable dishes, and outstanding service. I can’t wait to go back and explore more of the menu; it’s a place I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone looking for a remarkable dining experience!

What a clean place. First time trying Ethiopian food, and man, this place is really slamming. The Injera bread makes the eating more enjoyable. Rip some bread, grab, and eat. Top notch. Didn't even know they made beer.

My first experience with Ethiopian cuisine and I definitely started in the right way. The food is very rich and the spices are surprisingly good. It’s more than a restaurant, it’s an experience.

Amazing food! Lunch special isn't too pricy for what you get and the coffee is lovely. I especially like that the menu informs you about Ethiopian food culture.

I been to this restaurant twice so far, always delicious and great service. The food portions are generous as well. They also offer gluten free injera and the gluten-free teff cake is delicious, definitely a must!!!!
