“This was my first time in Phoenix and I had a blast. First thing that morning I went for breakfast. I was the first customer at 7am. I decided on the freshman breakfast with vegan sausage. It was incredible! The eggs were fluffy and so buttery. The home fries were so well seasoned that I didn't even need ketchup. This was the first time I've been offered vegan sausage as a replacement. It was delightful. I absolutely love this spot. It is without a doubt one of the best eateries in the area! #ashsaidit“

“My sister and I had such a good yummy happy hour, which was also probably dinner. The best customer service. They treat you like a family. Alicia, the manager, was the best. She heard me tell my sister that the butter caramel cake looked yummy. So what does she do? She brings us one on the house!! I will keep coming back here, not just for a free dessert but because of the yummy food, drinks, and everything in between. The best place ever. Thank you, Arcadia location. Love you. 🌄🌵🐴🎯💯💃🏽“

“Just stopped in for the first time this morning. Wasn't sure what to expect. Wow, love the two I had, the egg, cheese and ham and the smoked sausage and cheese. I will definitely be back for more!“

“The place was not crowded at all and we were seated next to a huge table with probably a dozen very loud adults and children. Kids were running around without any controls and the adults were shouting over one another. We asked to be moved and it was not a problem but why they put us right next to the loud bunch I'll never know. Otherwise, everything was great.“

“We got the seafood boil with dungeons clusters, head on shrimp (always the head on gives more flavor to the food), veggies, corn, potatoes and scallops with the Trifecta sauce (medium spice level). Everything was so flavorful we just dived into the food , caught with the seafood and came out victorious of an amazing experience. So, our server was MARIE SOL, she is an absolute delight. I think she made our experience from good to wonderful.“

“Tucked deep within the Hilton resort grounds, Hole in Wall BBQ offers a casual and inviting atmosphere. With its unassuming name and reputation, I arrived with high expectations. While the experience was pleasant overall, the meal delivered a mix of highs and lows.
First, the setting. Despite ongoing construction that limits parking and requires a bit of navigation, the space is remarkably clean. The staff is incredibly warm and attentive. There was no wait to be seated, and the tables offer ample space for those with mobility challenges. These elements created a welcoming and relaxed environment to begin the evening.
The menu is modest, which often signals a focus on quality. I opted for the Smoked St. Louis Ribs with grilled vegetables and fries. The ribs arrived fall-off-the-bone tender, a promising start but lacked the depth of seasoning expected from a barbecue establishment. The sauce leaned heavily toward store-bought familiarity rather than a house-crafted blend with unique character.
The grilled vegetable side was notably underwhelming. Composed almost entirely of onions with a sparse showing of bell peppers, it missed the balance expected from the menu description. However, the fries and onion rings were both crisp and expertly executed; a highlight of the plate.
It is worth noting that the team is currently operating out of a food truck instead of a full-service kitchen. This certainly explains some of the constraints in execution. I chose not to rate this experience lower because of the genuinely pleasant atmosphere and the staff’s evident dedication to service.
Hole in Wall BBQ has potential. Once construction is complete and operations return to a traditional kitchen setup, I look forward to revisiting. There is heart behind the hospitality. With a few culinary adjustments, this could become a standout destination in Phoenix's BBQ scene.“

“This was a pretty underwhelming experience. I got the risotto with blackened chicken. The risotto was undercooked with really crunchy rice. I sat at the bar. Anna was the bartender. I was there on a relatively slow night. She seemed to be very preoccupied with other duties. Overall I was very unimpressed for a restaurant at a 5 star resort. Extremely overpriced for crunchy risotto and a server who was too busy to check in.
Went again. I was going to try the risotto, and give it another chance, but I didn’t see it on the menu. I ordered the truffle pizza. It was pretty good. Wasn’t really my style, but I wouldn’t complain about it. On this visit I sat in the main dining area, and the server was amazing. Recommend an amazing drink. (Forgot the name). I felt like it was pretty pricey overall, but a way better experience. Up to 4 stars from 2 stars.“
