I wanted an authentic burrito as my first meal in Tempe. El Gordo DELIVERED! The Sargent burrito (with sides of homemade salsa and salsa verde) and a horchata straight from the fountain were MUY BUENO! The customer service was just as excellent as the food.

I ordered a burrito with a side of rice and beans and it exceeded my expectations. The flavors were authentic, the portions were filling, and the prices were very fair. The employees were kind and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in.

I like this place but the hours listed aren’t correct. A lot of the time they will close the restaurant (within the gas station) about 20-30 minutes early. I totally understand why but if that’s what keeps happening why not just close at 10pm?
