Monty's Depot cantina is an excellent place for Mexican food their patio is huge with an outside bar and a designated areas for smoking on the outside patio

Everytime we make a trip to the Phoenix area from Utah we always stop here a few times at least if not daily, best food hands down and the service has always been great.

It wasn't the best experience I've had at Macayo's but with everyone just coming off of COVID, I'm sure it's hard for them to get back into the swing of things, and they were just off their game. My expectations were high because they've always been so good. We'll try them again at a later date and I look forward to changing this review to 5 stars!

I love Mexican food, and this place was very good with great variety per dish. I was able to choose a beef enchilada, beef taco, Spanish rice, and beans. Chips also came with the meal and they had an excellent margarita on the menu that was served with Cabo Wabo tequila. I was so impressed with the food, service and the fact there was no wait (I stopped in around 4:30-5pm), I ate here twice for the week.

Waitress left with my debit card for 30 or more minuites. When she finally came back she had charged the wrong tables order to my card and then gave me their credit card while giving them mine. Absolutely terrible service. Instead of doing anything for us the manager gave us coupons. Yea like I would ever come back here to use them. You tried to give someone else my debit card after charging their significantly more expensive bill to me. For all I knew the waitress took my card so she could steal it. All I know is I'm glad I canceled that card the minuite I left. Totally shady and then completely unsatisfactory response to the situation.

my favorite mexican food place in Phx. Love the Chicken pablano. The place is getting kind of run down and dingy. I believe they're building a new one, but this one is on it's last legs.........right near ASU campus.

Dined twice, both times outside. Surroundings were comfortable, blazing fire pit however we didn't need the heat but enjoyed the ambiance. Both times I selected a salad with carne asada. Delicious. Ample salad loaded with lots of veggies along with the greens.

Depot Cantina has great service and great food, always. However, last night (Sunday) my party and I had to sit through the worst live music EVER out on the patio. I realize everyone has to start out somewhere but that is what "open mic nights" are for. Not only was this "one man horror show" bad, but he was way, way too loud.
