I love Mexican food, and this place was very good with great variety per dish. I was able to choose a beef enchilada, beef taco, Spanish rice, and beans. Chips also came with the meal and they had an excellent margarita on the menu that was served with Cabo Wabo tequila. I was so impressed with the food, service and the fact there was no wait (I stopped in around 4:30-5pm), I ate here twice for the week.
my favorite mexican food place in Phx. Love the Chicken pablano. The place is getting kind of run down and dingy. I believe they're building a new one, but this one is on it's last legs.........right near ASU campus.

It wasn't the best experience I've had at Macayo's but with everyone just coming off of COVID, I'm sure it's hard for them to get back into the swing of things, and they were just off their game. My expectations were high because they've always been so good. We'll try them again at a later date and I look forward to changing this review to 5 stars!
