Great Food and Laser Tag was Fun

My family really enjoys this Main event! The games are broken a lot, but they always compensate for it by giving us more than fair credits back for what we have lost so I can't justify docking them any stars for it. They have these gravity ropes that are so much fun, bowling, laser tag, billiards, great food, a pizza parlor, tons of VR games and a huge selction of games and prizes.

I ventured into Main Event last night, eager to dive into the world of arcade glory with a freshly minted $50 game card in hand. No sooner had I made my purchase than the entire arcade plunged into darkness, a foreshadowing of the service to come. When I approached the front desk for help, the attendant was so deep into his phone, he might as well have been texting from another dimension. His commitment to customer service shone through when he lifted his eyes just long enough to inform me that he was "on break." News flash: breaks are less effective when taken at your post! After prying him away from his break to fetch a manager, I witnessed what must have been an executive strategy session, as they whispered like two kids trading secrets in a playground. The manager then graced me with his presence, only to join the chorus of indifference by stating, “Buyer beware.” A classic line for the customer service hall of fame. Right, because when I’m planning a night out, I always prepare for a total power outage. Genius! My humble suggestion to place a sign about the outage was met with a bewildered, “Where would I even put a sign?” I thought about suggesting somewhere sun doesn’t shine, but instead pointed to the revolutionary concepts of 'front door' or 'kiosk. By the end of our interaction, I half-expected him to hand over his name tag and let me handle the situation while he retreats back to the bathroom where he could continue looking at himself in the mirror, asking himself "where did it all go wrong for a guy like me"? In his defence it must be exhausting constantly looking for self validation as an arcade "manager".Honestly, the real entertainment of the evening was watching the manager try to navigate the crisis with the finesse of a toddler in a tiara. It must be tough to rest easy at night, knowing the weight of the arcade world is just too heavy for his shoulders. Who knew that managing a game room was only slightly less complex than running the Pentagon? It took me some time to realize that the high-stakes world of arcade management might just be a tad beyond this managers joystick-juggling capabilities. If this is Main Event's idea of a fun night out, I'll stick to watching the lights flicker at home—it's cheaper and the customer service is just as responsive.

Friend bought a $50 game card only to discover the arcade was down. Refused to refund. When machines eventually came back on, the machines ripped him off. This place is a ripoff. Don't spend money on this place. Legit should be shut down and corporate should drop the hammer on this place.

I just came here and bought a 50$ game card, then turned the corner and all the games are off. We spoke to the person at the desk and they told us they do not do refunds. The clerk gave us a huge attitude about wanting a refund since we couldn’t use the 50$ we just spent. They finally got the manager and told us that oh yeah, the power goes off, “buyer beware I guess”. Asked them if they thought that was the right thing to do, and that maybe they should have a sign or something if this is a problem. They ended up telling us we can just wait for the machines to be fixed and gave us a coupon. Not sure why all the employees needed to be so incredible rude and combative. Apparently this has been a problem all night. We waited and the power came back on to the machines, then we tried to use them and they just took our money and didn’t let us play.

Went in for a friendly game of bowling with friends over the weekend. John one of the managers, helped us tremendously at the bowl desk with our bowling lane and signing us up for laser tag sessions - awesome hospitality. Our server was Connor - who was the best during our time, he recommended their best drink options and ensured we were well taken care of!

It was my first time in main event with my family, the establishment was very attentive and friendly. Kelsey was the manager on duty and made sure to make sure our experience was above and beyond. She was very professional, had amazing hospitality, and knew how to juggle multiple situations at once while maintaining a calm and kind composure. I would highly recommend coming here!
