Masala Maniac Reviews
Masala Maniac is a refreshing Indian spot right on Mill Avenue. Came here before going out for drinks for a pregame meal and was pleasantly surprised at huge portions, fresh food, and NOT ANOTHER TACO JOINT! This is my new weekend go to spot!
Food was absolutely phenomenal. Would highly recommend. We ordered the maniac combo and butter chicken. It did not disappoint.
Stopped by here for lunch one afternoon. Arrived just in time to enjoy the buffet, but also ordered chana masala off the menu.
You order at the counter and then help yourself to the buffet. If you ordered something else, they'll bring it out to you. Fresh naan arrived at the table by the time I got back from the buffet.
Pretty tasty food and right in the heart of downtown Tempe.
Will definitely be back next time we're in town.

Masala Maniac is a spot in the heart of downtown Tempe offering a creative twist on traditional Indian favorites. The menu includes options like chana masala, paneer masala, butter chicken, the Maniac Combo, and the Chicken Kebab Combo. The butter chicken was absolutely delicious and came with rice, Naan bread, and chutney, though the chutney was very salty. The combo platter was also very good, with rice and a delicious salad, but could use a little more meat for the price. The Mango Lassi and mango smoothie were delicious and refreshing. The garlic naan was flavorful and a great dipper for leftover masala sauce. The food is pretty tasty, fresh, and authentic, with generous portions, though the paneer wrap was a miss. Customer service is friendly, with a special mention of great care and attention during visits. The atmosphere is clean, comfortable, and well lit with cool lighting options and nice table set ups. Prices are reasonable, and parking is street parking that you have to pay for. It is a good place, though spice levels are not asked about, and the Daal/ Lentil Curry was not available.
