YELP says "#1" for sandwiches. The most recent review is 2 years old. A review from 3 years ago says "no longer serving sandwiches, now a bakery only" Web site link says, "closed and moving to a new location." Hey YELP, have to checked out your recommendations??? Can't give a recommendation for something that's not open, so I checked 3 stars. If it's a P&P property I know it will be 4 or 5.

I had a great lunch here! The atmosphere is comfortable and stylish. The food was delicious and super fresh! I loved the iced tea too! I had the tomato basil soup with half grilled cheese sandwich!

This was the last place I ate before all the COVID lockdown happened, so I can't attest to any of their COVID practices. I miss this location being Prep & Pastry because I love the outdoor area - it's a nice enclosed patio that hides the fact you're off a major road. I loved the decor inside as well, although I know that they are now moving locations so that is bound to change. I got the chicken salad sandwich and it was delicious but VERY greasy - heads up if you consider chicken salad to be a healthier option! The focaccia was essentially drenched in oil; I definitely couldn't eat a whole sandwich so got to save a second half for later. My husband got the grinder which was, ironically, far less greasy than the chicken salad. Both delicious. I'm excited to visit them in their new location as the server working when we visited implied they'd be opening up for brunch, which would be fantastic.

The food was mouthwateringly delicious. The staff was so friendly, had helpful suggestions and everything was clean and beautiful! I was extrmely happy with the vegan options while the rest of my group said their meat options were the bomb. Highly recommend!

Great sandwich selections and lovely atmosphere. The fries are worth the upgrade. The bread is always yummy.

One rainy day in Tucson we found ourselves at August Rhodes Market and left very pleased that we did. The restaurant itself is quite small with indoor and outdoor seating. The service is done at the counter where you can view their menu from the board above then take your number to your table. They offer a variety of fare from salads, soups, and sandwiches, vegan options as well. They don't just offer standard dishes though, they also have items like kimchi slaw and tofu banh mi sandwiches. So their menu is also quite unique, which I loved. I ordered the half chicken salad sandwich and half roasted vegetable salad. The chicken salad was amazing and different than I had before with roasted corn, green chile and summer squash. The only change I made was to have it on sourdough than focaccia. The salad was also great and the addition of the warm roasted vegetables was something I enjoyed then just cold vegetables. I really loved the dining area although I wish we could have enjoyed their beautiful outdoor patio. Of course we couldn't because of the rain but it does give us something to look forward to for when we visit again.

We tried August Rhodes today for the first time and it was delicious. I can't wait to be able to go to their actual restaurant one day. We had it delivered through Uber Eats and it was so fast. I had the tri tip dip with the kimchi coleslaw. The trip tip dip was so fresh. It had arugula which I've been missing because it's hard to find at stores right now. The kimchi slaw was also good and not too spicy. It was a refreshing side. My boyfriend had the fried chicken sammie. He loved it! He described it as a light chicken sandwich even though it was fried it wasn't too heavy. I also tried it and it was delicious. The fries and special sauce were super good. The special sauce was special. They also included a thank you letter which was so sweet! Because we appreciate them proving food to Tucson during this hard time.

Picked up the loaf of sourdough and strawberry jam. Amazing as always. Made corned beef sandwiches for our family for dinner and toast for breakfast. Fed five of us for two meals. Thank you!!!!

Menu includes sandwiches, salads and soup. We tried the egg salad sandwich, club sandwich and the cauliflower soup and all of our food selections were very tasty and satisfying. My two favorite things about this place were the beverage choices and dessert. They brew two or three different tea blends and you can make an iced suicide( a blend of two or more teas mixed). They also have a couple ofPrep & Pastry desserts like dosant (a cross between a donut and a croissant) or cookies.

The best sandwich I’ve had in a long time!

Exactly what I needed. A refreshing menu of hearty sandwiches and lighter fare. Big sandwich for the price. Will definitely come back for an evening visit and chug some of their fine beers

The menu at August Rhodes has a good selection of sandwiches, soups, and salads. All items are made on the premises, including the artisan bread. In addition to being very tasty, their sandwiches are substantial and come with a generous pile of fresh kettle cooked potato chips. After ordering at the counter, you take a seat inside or on the patio. The casual ambience makes for a relaxing respite.

Run, don't walk! To this restaurant. And please please get the brisket sandwich on sourdough. It's incredible and you will thank me.
