The food was fabulous! Will definitely eat here again!
The most authentic Mexican dish I've been served since I've been in tucson 5 🌟
The vibe was in the walls with everyone feeling at home...
Great food and excellent service!
Good food, below average service . Make server.
We went as a party of four for brunch on a Sunday. We expected a wait, but it wasn’t too bad. It was nice weather out. Our waiter and the service were excellent The food was good, but I will say it was way too much grease and lots of pork. If meat is your thing there is plenty. But too much of it was just pork. There’s very very few chicken options on the menu. They seem to allow lots of substitution so perhaps that is something you could get if you ask for it. They seem fairly accommodating. I will try again, but I will not order something that has so much meat on it. The lattes were quite un coffee like with artificial flavor. Definitely not the Almost $5. The iced coffee itself was OK, but it didn’t have much of a coffee flavor either it tasted watered down. Plain water as an option did not work for us because it had a very off taste. That being said, I would go again, but try to stick with something less meaty. This is an accumulation of thoughts from our party of four.
Service and food were equally delectable

We had a party of 5, went in at peak breakfast time on a Saturday morning and got seated right away. The staff was very nice and the food was amazing! We all enjoyed our meals and would come back again next time we visit Tucson.

Stopped by on a camping trip and WOW. The portions are huge, without sacrifice absolute quality. The waiter was very helpful, proactive, and even gave our dogs big chicken treats! We will be back next time we are in town.
We got the breakfast enchiladas, the MacDaddy, and the lemon blueberry pancake.
We had about half of it to take home, after stuffing ourselves full of goodness.
Chill vibes, clean bathrooms, super fast service.

Our first visit to Baja Cafe will certainly not be our last! This is a wonderful place for breakfast or brunch. We will test out the lunch menu on a subsequent visit. At our waiter (Jesse's) suggestion, I tried the daily special Eggs Benedict dish. It was incredible! I don't recall the name but it had shrimp, ham, southwestern flavored veggies and lots of cheese and was possibly the best take on an Eggs Benedict that I have ever had. And there are an over a dozen variations of Eggs Benedict of their everyday menu. It may take me awhile to go through them all. My wife ordered a breakfast combo that included eggs, ham, hash browns and a Liege Waffle. The eggs, ham and hash browns were good, but the Liege Waffle was incredible! Next time she will skip the sides and focus on the Liege Waffle. Our waiter was very friendly and efficient and we hope to see him here again. We were here on a Saturday morning in between Christmas and New Years when almost everyone is on some form of holiday or vacation so the place was packed and we had a fifteen minute wait which I thought was pretty good given the circumstances. Next time we will try to come on a weekday when things will be less hectic. Nonetheless, our food arrived quickly and was hot. While the place was noisy, we were able to maintain a normal conversation without yelling or raising our voices. The decor is kind of plain but felt appropriate for the type of place this is. If you are in this part of Tucson, you owe yourself a visit to the Baja Cafe.

This place is a quintessential Tucson quirky establishment. It is usually always packed from the times I have visited but we were able to get in with a party of 7 with 20 min wait. All members of a party must be present in order to be seated. Service was friendly and efficient. Food is great with a southwestern flare. The children pancakes were massive. The two kids could have shared one. We had smoked brisket machaca, the coyote, and the carmelo which was a southwestern spin on a Benedict with smoked brisket and tortillas and chile and pico. There were plenty of sweet items on the menu although the liege waffle was already sold out. On Monday to Friday there is a discounted menu from 6 to 9am. Otherwise they are open daily 6 to 2pm. I think weekends get pretty packed and a wait is typical but worth it in my opinion. There are vegetarian options. You can get typical breakfasts and the ones more unique to southwest.
