This is one of those little restaurants that nobody really knows about..... But everyone SHOULD know about this place!!!! Small restaurant and the parking is in the back but don't let that fool you!!!! The food was excellent!!!! Will definitely be going back more often!!!!

The enchilada potosino was not to our liking and covering it with cheese didn’t really help the dish. The carne asada burro was excellent but the kids bean and cheese burro was also not very good, wrong kind of cheese and the beans are not traditional tasting. Used a coupon for a free entree an d they made the kids meal free at 6.99 when the coupon was good for $ up to12.00 off. Not totally unexpected. The woman who hosted was very nice and polite with a wonderful smile!

As a long-time Arizonan, I love Mexican cuisine. This restaurant gets 5 stars. I had chicken enchiladas with chile verde sauce. Chicken was breast meat—unusual, but spiced perfectly. Everything excellently flavored. The tortillas were fresh and the chips were warm and crisp. Refried beans and rice excellent. Someone in the kitchen knows spice mojo magic. Different. All served with three types of homemade salsa. Big serving. Could have split the meal, but took half of it home.

My first visit was fantastic! I ordered the pambasos, and it was exceptional! It's not something I've seen often in Tucson, and I don't know why. I live very far away, but I've been wanting another one, it's so good I'llmake the trip! The salsa was really tasty, and the chips were warm, crispy, and very fresh. I took a chamberado to go and highly recommend that warm & creamy beverage! We will be back soon!

Food was not even that good but service is my main reason. I ordered DoorDash with a soda. They were rude to the door dasher and told him I did not pay. I called to see what the heck, they tell me there is no management and owners is not there. They acknowledged it was a mistake by them but refused to fix the situation. $20 for a torta and a soda I did not get. Over priced for none good authentic Mexican food.
Always enjoy the fresh food and friendly, efficient service at Benny's. Try the in-house made traditional Tres Leches cake. Really good!!!!
