I ordered this here and it was a nice 11.00 salad as it was a meal for me. This time it was so small like a half salad . I wish I could take a picture.

Delicious food accompanied by live jazz (at least on Sunday afternoon). Casual and laid-back. Would like to go again.

I was pretty disappointed with the food at Brother John's. We had the brisket, pulled pork, and pork belly with mac n cheese, coleslaw, and fries on the side. The meat was okay- the brisket was dryer than what I'd expect for restaurant quality and none of the meat could stand on their own - they /needed/ the sauces. We tried all the sauces on their own, and except for the buffalo-style sauce, there wasn't much difference between the flavors. The fries were crispy and seasoned, but the Mac needed salt (maybe they didn't salt the water for the noodles?), and the coleslaw was just cabbage and vinegar. We also we put-off by the bread served with the meal. I don't eat bbq with wonder bread.Overall, everything tasted mass-produced and like it was approved by some board of directors to sell to the highest number of people. You can take your grandparents here.Update: Arby's has better brisket.

I don't know who it was that made the smoked brisket but they should be fired. Good brisket should stretch as you pull it apart, it should be soft and juicy, but this brisket was hard, overcooked and snapped in half. Ended up feeding it to my dog. Even he had second thoughts but he is a dog. LOL I found the Yukon Gold potato salad was very tasty. The nachos that I ordered without jalapenos, had jalapenos. I will DEFINITELY not be going there again.

I go to brother John’s with some frequency and it’s always pretty solid. The food portions are a touch small for the price but the quality is quite high. The alcohol selection is great but the staff could be a bit more knowledgeable about what they have when it comes to making suggestions.Overall a great place, give it a try if you’re around.
I ordered 1/3 chicken, vinegar slaw, and pit beans with burnt ends. My chicken was advertised as smoked. If it was it was not long enough. It was very disappointing and Luke warm. The vinegar slaw was plain shredded cabbage (no carrots) and kind of not flavored right. It lacked sugar I think. As for the pit beans, they weren't the flavorful beans one would expect from a BBQ joint. The burnt ends were little 3/8" cubes of meat that I could not identify. And in my opinion, they somewhat below average.Wheelchair accessibility: Barrier free entrance.

Reasonably priced lunch specials, with some "quick" options (in and out within 30 minutes). Good tasting food, friendly staff. The only negative thing could be that when they offer live music it might get loud. Lunch time is good for getting a quick bite and enjoying conversation. We will go back on a Fri, Sat or Sun to check out the music.
Very poor customer service. Picked up an order and it took over an hour due to an

From all the look of it before going, it looks like it was gonna be amazing that the southern aunties were gonna be in the kitchen. Now, not the case. The cornbread will dry your whole throat, and it came out cold butter just sat on the bread still hard and yellow. Seasoning needs to be a word mac and cheese keys rename mac and water, collards lacked any type of seasoning any type they could have just grabbed the lawrys from the local store. Had the nerve not to have no salt and pepper on the table. They need a seasoning class cause nothing tasted good, nothing. Let's pray for them, please. If they were going for southern cuisine, they missed by miles. Will never go back.
