I ordered 1/3 chicken, vinegar slaw, and pit beans with burnt ends. My chicken was advertised as smoked. If it was it was not long enough. It was very disappointing and Luke warm.The vinegar slaw was plain shredded cabbage (no carrots) and kind of not flavored right. It lacked sugar I think.As for the pit beans, they weren't the flavorful beans one would expect from a BBQ joint. The burnt ends were little 3/8" cubes of meat that I could not identify. Reasonably priced lunch specials, with some "quick" options (in and out within 30 minutes). Good tasting food, friendly staff. The only negative thing could be that when they offer live music it might get loud. Lunch time is good for getting a quick bite and enjoying conversation. We will go back on a Fri, Sat or Sun to check out the music.

I go to brother John’s with some frequency and it’s always pretty solid.The food portions are a touch small for the price but the quality is quite high.The alcohol selection is great but the staff could be a bit more knowledgeable about what they have when it comes to making suggestions.Overall a great place, give it a try if you’re around.
