I don’t think many people would argue that Bubbe’s has the best bagels in Tucson. Chewy on the inside and perfectly cooked, with a wide variety of flavors to please the traditionalist and the adventurous. I had their open face smoked Nova lox sandwich (my usual), and it is always worth the wait, which you will definitely have on a weekend morning. Hey, good things are worth waiting for.

The staff is friendly and seem to have an efficient division of labor...

As an NJ native who grew up right outside Manhattan, I thought that there would be no decent bagel options in Tucson. But Bubbe's get the job done. I order an everything bagel with lox, and it was quite good for being in the middle of the desert. I will definitely be back.

Bubbe’s bagels are delicious. The schmear portion is GENEROUS on the bagels. Employees are very friendly and helpful. Only minus one for atmosphere because there’s little standing room inside and gets crowded and there’s little seating outside.
