Soup & Salad The soup is served with Ambasha, our own home made bread.
Shorba
Vegan soup made from rod lentils, carrots, potatoes, onions and tomatoes.
House Salad
A combination of romaine lettuce and tomatoe used in lemons and Vinegar house dressing served on a bed of rice topped with Azife and your choice of one of our Vegan or Mest dishes and sprinkled with Ayet, our home made cheese (K-Ase recommended).

Entrées Specialty dishes are excluded from all entrées, with all entrées Rice can be substituted for Injera.

i went to cafe desta with my family last weekend. the food was delicious. the service was amazing. the coffee was to die for! the server brought the food out for my baby cousin first and we found that beyond thoughtful. he was able to enjoy his meal and his mom was able to enjoy her meal since he ate before us. it’s the little things and cafe desta hits all the marks! highly highly highly recommend

Being from DC, I was surprised to see an Ethiopian place in Tucson! The food here was delicious and just as good as the Ethiopian food back home.

The food and service at Cafe Desta are excellent. We tried a vegan combination platter with misir, shiro, fosolia, tikil gomen, and kik. All were delicious. The injera here is also very very good. I'd highly recommend coming here and trying one of the combination platters.
