I had been wanting to try this place ever since they’ve opened. Today, I stopped in to get two pastries. I bought the chocolate eclair and a double blueberry pastry. $20!! Insanely priced, but I thought maybe it will be worth it when I taste them. They were not very good. O only ate half and ditched the rest. Totally not worth $20. There’s a much better French bakery in town called La Baguette Bakery off of east Prince that is FANTASTIC!! Don’t waste your money here.
This is a review only for macarons.

I tried other macarons in surrounding areas and cafe Francais had the best ones.

I tried a few and coconut rose is my favorite. Ginger lime piqued my curiosity. It’s not bad.

It’s a small shop with few seating. They do have free parking unlike the other shops we visited for worse macarons.
I’ve now been to both locations of Cafe Français and they’re basically the same, as far as I can tell. The Alvernon location has a few outdoor tables if you feel like snarfing down an amazing pastry in the middle of one of the busiest intersections in Tucson, which I did. Anyway, the mini kouign amann was the star of both locations.
