Prices are high for what you get. Had a burrito bowl which was mainly rice and lettuce with a little bit of chicken, and the service was horrendous. Had to ask for service even though we were sitting at the bar. Two bartenders but they were too busy talking with their friends and checking their phones to even acknowledge us. I do not recommend.

My wife have been coming here regularly since moving to Tucson last year. We bring our friends from out of town when they visit. Everything had been great. However there is a bartender that has been quite rude to us a couple of times and yesterday we stopped in and from the moment I asked how his day was going he responded aggressively and then was just super angry. He started yelling at my wife demanding what she wanted to drink as she was trying to look at the menu he had just handed us. There might have been like 3 other tables. I just looked at him and said never mind he was much to angry for us and we were leaving. He gave me a look of digust as we left. Unfortunately this ruined the entire place for us and we will not return. It is too bad as we loved it and it is just up the street but my wife can not shake the fact he was aggressively yelling at her. Everyone else has been super friendly and nice. That guy ruined it.

I used to enjoy coming to Calle Tepa, but the prices have gotten completely out of hand. Spending nearly $18 for a two-taco combo and around $19–$20 for burritos, bowls, taco salads, and tortas is hard to justify for what is essentially fast-casual Mexican food.

The food is decent and the salsa bar is nice, but there comes a point where the value just isn’t there anymore. For the cost of one meal here, I can go to several other local Tucson Mexican restaurants and get a larger portion for less money. The prices make it feel like you’re paying restaurant-with-waitstaff prices while ordering at a counter.

What really shocked me was seeing basic items pushing the $20 mark. A torta for over $20 and burritos approaching $20 feels excessive, especially when Tucson has no shortage of excellent Mexican food options.

The restaurant still has a loyal following and good reviews, but for me the pricing has become the biggest issue. If prices were lowered even a few dollars across the menu, I’d be much more likely to return. Until then, I can’t say the food justifies the cost.

It's american-mexican food. I Like their margaritas, and staff and atmosphere are always great. Good place to watch sports and hang out, but the back area is too small for large groups. Patio is an option!

Met there with family and service/employees were on top of everything and very kind and very accommodating. The food was also very good. The atmosphere was quiet and clean.

Amazing food. Wonderful, attentive service. Friendly for dogs on outdoor patio- so sweet, they gave my puppy doggie cookies and a fresh water bowl.

I expected more out of this restaurants based on the customer reviews but I was disappointed by this place.
Starting with the good, the chips and salsa are pretty good and well made but that's about it.
The meat in the tacos was clumpy, nervy and chewy. It felt old and I think it may have been stored for several days. I got three different types of meat and it was all bad. I don't think the cooks here know how to cook any kind of meat.
Service was good but nothing really special.
If you want Mexican food, I would suggest elsewhere as there are plenty of better options in Tucson.
