Charro Steak is a must-visit! The carne asada was melt-in-your-mouth tender and packed with rich, bold flavor—hands down some of the best we’ve ever had. We also ordered the half chicken, and wow… it’s officially the best chicken dish we’ve had anywhere in Arizona. Perfectly cooked, juicy, and seasoned to perfection.

The vibes were just right—lively but not too loud, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Shoutout to our server, Remi, who made the whole experience even better with top-notch service and great recommendations. We’ll definitely be back

Lovely place downtown for happy hour! $5 sangria, beers, margs. The sangria was absolutely delicious especially on a hot summer day. Service is great. Our bartender was attentive and friendly! The prickly pear albóndigas are my favorite. The meat is lean but the sauce is rich and has a kick to it. The charro burger is humongous and so juicy. I also recommend the charro dry aged prime rib. It’s so tender and melts in your mouth. The mashed potato on the side is also very good.

This was our first visit to Charro Steak, we dined there for my husband's birthday. The Happy Hour specials are worth going early for. We had the oysters all 3 ways. They were fresh and delicious. For our main course we had the prime rib and filet with additional sides of macaroni and cheese as well as the corn. Both were very good, probably the best macaroni and cheese I've ever had. The alcohol menu is varied and the cocktails very unique. Highly recommend.

The best steakhouse Tucson has to offer. I've never been presented with such amazing combinations of fine dining with Mexican influence. My steak wasn't cooked to temp and they were quick to refire it and cut it with me to verify the temp. Lobster queso fundido was incredible but the literally icing on the cake was the champagne fried strawberries with del back whiskey creme sauce.

We'd recommend Charro Steak & Del Rey to anyone at any time. Always delicious. Always perfectly prepared. We've enjoyed Charro Steak & Del Rey the entire time they've been open, but we recently encountered a family trauma and Chef Gary Hickey and his team took the best care of us. We are grateful ♥️ It was SO delicious too!

Great atmosphere. Service was good. Steaks and sides were good, but the tableside Caesar was anything but a true tableside experience.

Atmosphere and service was fantastic. Food was no where near up to par. Never do I ever mind paying for good food ; but when your lobster was COMPLETELY overcooked and the chef wouldn’t even come out to help me “scrape “ the meat out , is where I draw the line. $25; okay, $125- ABSOLUTELY not. Prime rib was fantastic . Not enough to be back. $350 for a date, cool in my book any day. Trash food -no answers near it .

Highly recommended. Food was very fresh. Service was superb. Reservations are suggested. No waiting. Not keen on tips for chefs or cooks.

Food was mediocre at best. Mexican cuisine and American Steakhouse is a bad combo, so many menu items just did not work. I will say that the steak was better than expected but everything else was quite disappointing.

Food was EXTREMELY underwhelming.
I don’t mind prices for food when the food is great but the food here is lack luster, nothing special nor anything good, just… unfulfilling.
The portions on the Carne Asada plate were small enough to feed my toddler, but the price…

I won’t come here again, food, price to portion, price to quality, were all sad.
