Family member picked up food. This was not authentic Jamaican food, I'm from Jamaica, grew up in a Jamaican household. The curry chicken is not flavorful, and the cabbage is too crunchy, the best thing is the plantains. The rice and peas is dry, no curry gravy. And the plates are messy when put together. And no there was no festival but online they have it on the menu. First and last time.

Moved to Tucson a year ago from the East coast. NY/NJ and though we love Tucson the food here just does not compare. We're always on the hunt for food that is even close to home. We have tried every Jamaican restaurant in town and they come close but never close enough. Desperate for some beef patties today on this Sunday afternoon we found cool runnings. Let me just say. They run hot 10/10 they must be driving that truck from the east coast 4 days a week i'm convinced.

This is the best j*** chicken in Tucson. I have eaten at a couple other restaurants around and this one tastes like Jamaica! Has the pan chicken flavor, the sauce that I pairs with j*** chicken. Truly amazing. Also try the homemade juice !!! Absolutely divine.

I've had some disappointing experiences with mediocre Jamaican cuisine in the past, so I'm gun-shy when it comes to leaving my comfort zone and trying it at all. I've seen this trucked posted up at The Pit for a while, and I've heard good things, so I went full send and tried the oxtails. They came with plantains, rice and peas, and steamed veggies. The oxtails were perfectly cooked and fall-off-the-bone tender. Great flavor! Delicious plantains, rice, and veggies. What a stacked meal. I grabbed the bag and was surprised by how heavy it was. Definitely enough for 2. This was next level from what I've had in the past, and I look forward to visiting again and trying more.

The food here was excellent! Being away from home I was craving food that reminded me of where I came from. Cool Runnings Jamaican food is an excellent choice for authentic Jamaican food! Next time I will be back to try their J*** Chicken

We stopped by The Pit and at first pass missed this food truck, and by the time my family did notice it we had already eaten some tacos. However, the food looked so good my husband ordered the special (brown chicken stew) to take home and have for dinner, and it absolutely did not disappoint! The owner is so nice, and the food is absolutely worth the drive.

First time ever trying ox tail highly would recommend coming here the people are very welcoming and make great food definitely coming back next time to try the curry goat and the j*** chicken best food I've had in awhile owner is very nice and everything is made with love ?
