This is the best j*** chicken in Tucson. I have eaten at a couple other restaurants around and this one tastes like Jamaica! Has the pan chicken flavor, the sauce that I pairs with j*** chicken. Truly amazing. Also try the homemade juice !!! Absolutely divine.
I've had some disappointing experiences with mediocre Jamaican cuisine in the past, so I'm gun-shy when it comes to leaving my comfort zone and trying it at all. I've seen this trucked posted up at The Pit for a while, and I've heard good things, so I went full send and tried the oxtails. They came with plantains, rice and peas, and steamed veggies. Moved to Tucson a year ago from the East coast. NY/NJ and though we love Tucson the food here just does not compare. We're always on the hunt for food that is even close to home. We have tried every Jamaican restaurant in town and they come close but never close enough. Desperate for some beef patties today on this Sunday afternoon we found cool runnings. Let me just say. They run hot 10/10 they must be driving that truck from the east coast 4 days a week i'm convinced.
