Went back with out of town guest.I had not been back for over 15 years. It was a fantastic experience. Food was excellent. We started with a share of Queso Fundido with chile & chorizo. My friend had never had this and loved it.It was much better than others I have tried around town. Enchiladas were great.I had the special Carne Seca plate and he had the seafood.a few Mexican beers and we had no room for dessert. The 2 salsas were both excellent I poured all the red on my Enchiladas. 10 of 10 folks .Made a yelp reservation and all was perfect. a patio table would have been fun been sun & 80s kept us inside taking in all the character of the old home.

Araby made me laugh so hard that a nearby patron started to give me the Heimlich maneuver thinking that I was choking, breaking several of my ribs in the process. I settled out of court for several thousand dollars and got my Cadillac Margarita and shredded beef enchilada for free! And people said I was crazy for having my wedding at an airport bar! It won't be my last!

Locally famous, this place has excellent Mexican food, tons of seating, and a long history in the area. They serve traditional local favorites, plus the typical Mexican food dishes. The outside seating is fun, but they have inside seating as well.

Charro is one of the few places that is a must for anyone visiting Tucson. Would certainly go again.

It's a restaurant inside airport security, so you can use it when you depart.
Since it opens early in the morning, there were quite a few customers (5:30am).
Please note that breakfast is a special menu.
The burrito is mostly eggs, and the quantity is quite large.
It might be good if you want a quick and filling meal.
I was able to sit comfortably and enjoy my meal, so I was very satisfied.
I think the other reasons for the low ratings are also due to the time zone.

Avoid this place!! Sadly I will not frequent El Charro anymore not the airport or downtown. The Tucson airport has the WORST service, that is if you get service at all. The wait staff are rude and honestly too busy with their own gossip to tend to their customers. This morning I tried to get some food before my flight and I sat at to bar for over 10 mins. It was quite early in the morning and there were only two customers including myself. After 10 mins of being completely ignored I left and opted for Hudson’s. It’s very sad El Charro has terrible customer service. I won’t spend my money or recommend this place to anyone. Awful experience!

Terrible service, morning of Oct 27 2024. It wasn’t busy, but the server couldn’t be bothered to ask for anyone’s orders for almost 15 minutes. She just stayed close to the kitchen, as far from the guests as possible. I hope you have better luck getting service here.

Stopped at the TUS airport location for breakfast and to wait for our flight home. Chilaquiles Scramble was outstanding and made to order (no frijoles for me). Nice decor and lots of good beverage choices. I would eat here again.

Good chicken burrito. Experience marred by having only plastic utensils at airport. Hard to cut in the burrito@

Kindest and most accommodating staff and best food of any airport restaurant I've ever been to. They were kind enough to make me a vegan breakfast option off the menu when none were technically available this early, and it's delicious. Thank you!

I enjoyed breakfast here awhile back so thought I’d try it again before my flight. Bad decision! First, it took forever for my food to come out - others who arrived well after me were being served. When it finally arrived, I received a plastic plate with lukewarm food - powered eggs and crusty, warmed over beans. The flour tortillas were stale. The guacamole was pretty good. El Charro can do better, even at the airport.
