In our party of 5, everyone's food was mediocre. We all tried different things from the menu; soup, salad, some signature dish. It was edible.

Got there just before the evening rush. Servers were all polite and attentive. Food was above average, but not outstanding.

This was our first time trying El Coronado. It was nice that we could sit outside with our dogs, our server came out pretty quickly and brought us a bowl for water for them. It was be nice if the had fans outside in the summer.
The service was good. The mango margarita was okay. The food, I would have to agree with other reviews. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great. My shrimp taco was sweet, which caught me off guard. The ground beef taco wasn’t greasy at all which was nice, but was very salty. The chips were stale. The red chili looked off….like a thick red enchilada sauce. The prices were a little steep as well, especially for the quality. Again, not bad food, just not sure we would go out of our way to go back.

If you order the red chili meat big daddy burrito, don’t expect the meat to be chunky or resemble like chili Colorado. It is more of a pate and feels like eating beans. More clarification probably should be made on the menu. The servers offered to bring me out an other one but I asked for the meat on the side instead. I was able to confirm it is a pate.

Good customer service, nice decor, and decent food. I’ve gone maybe 10 times in the last 10 years. I would go more often, but the food is usually just okay. Last time I got the big daddy burrito with carne asada. Barely got any carne and lots of fat. It was like 10% meat with 90% beans, rice, cheese, etc.

I absolutely love this place. I visit from Missouri and make sure I go there at least twice while I’m in Tucson! The green enchiladas with crema sauce is to die for!

We go here frequently. Love the similarity to San Antonio style Mexican food.
