We were informed that they had a plumbing problem ... most likely their bathrooms or kitchen.If they had post this information on their restaurant entry doors ... we would have gone somewhere else for take-out that evening.However, it was too late, we had given them our order not knowing why the dinning was closed.El Pollo Loco should have been addressing the potential sanitary issues and customer safety concerns first and foremost.Fourth ... the taco salad was fine with the exception of the chicken being slightly overcooked.My chicken tacos were a disappointment because the chicken bits were minced and slightly overcooked with pieces of cartilage and bone mixed in. I also prefer corn tortillas over flour tortillas for their texture.The pinto beans were undercooked and could have been simmered for an additional 20 to 30 minutes more.There was just too many issues stemming from their plumbing problems that contributed to a failed dinner service that evening.Inexperienced Management is at fault or someone was more concerned with making money at the risk of their customers well-being.I'm mostly upset having been placed in the position of being the one having to write this review. The food was just okay. Average. It's been a while since I've gone to an El Pollo loco. He was very nice friendly. He forgot my fork so it was kind of a pain to eat my mac and cheese and coleslaw but I did.The sauces were good The chicken was also just okay.

We picked up a 16 piece family meal, paid $46.69 for old burnt chicken.. the sides were tasty.. called to let them know, asked for the manager.. I asked for the ladies name, so I can know who I was talking too.. she refused to give it, and you can tell that my request bother her.. she asked me to hold and put the phone down, I can hear they were busy, so I gave the person the benefit of the doubt why she was short with me.. she returned to the phone, and asked what I needed.. she again hesitated to give me her name, she then asked if I can call back in 15 minutes.. I said sure, who should I asked for.. again with a lot of resistance and after asking for her name 6 times.. she finally said Karla, now I wonder if this is her true name.. I haven't called back yet, but with BAD food and BAD customer service.. why should I even consider going back?

Typical fast food setting inside. Chicken was dry and my bowl was 80% pinto beans that tasted like they came right out of a can and were not completely cooked. A little bit of avocado in it. Was grateful for the sour cream since it was the other ingredients were so dry. Since it was on our way and less expensive than Chipotle we stopped here, but for $3 more, i'm going to Chipotle!

The food is good and fresh. Service is prompt mostly. The one complaint I do have is that you always have to double check your order cause I have gotten the wrong combo on the drive thru window several times. Sucks getting home and finding out your order is not correct.
