The food was good overall but the toppings were not fresh. Lime was bitter, onion was also bitter, tortillas were hard and dry like if they were reused, and they had NO good salsas to put on the tacos.
I had lunch this week there for the first time. Being a menudo aficionado, I have been searching for the best in Tucson. I found Jalisco’s to be my favorite thus far. I love the options offered: large or small, no hominy (+ $1.50), a little hominy (+ $1.00), pata side (+ $3.50). Strange that removing all, or some of the hominy requires extra charges, but whatever is removed is compensated with more tripe, which is generously included in the first place. I had red chile chicken enchiladas and double beans, no rice per my request. The waitress was very nice and friendly and very accomodating.

The enchiladas were good, but the refried beans were very bland, they lacked oil, no flavor . They didn't have much taste. They had 4 small pieces of white cheese on top of the serving of beans.
What I don't get is why their prices are high but the quality of food is not!
They charged $14.99...
