Kingfisher Bar & Grill Reviews
We love Kingfisher so much that we had our wedding there 4 years ago. So of course we celebrated our anniversary there last night!
New owner Jackie and her wonderful staff saw to it that we had a wonderful meal, including a very special dessert.
When Murph and his partner retired we were concerned about how the place would change but our subsequent visits have been wonderful. Highly recommend this place to anyone who appreciates great food and fabulous service!
Outstanding food, great service. We just returned from a wonderful meal to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Server Mike H. was very helpful steering selections on oysters on the half shell, which of three Manhattans to order and holding the last swordfish special for me. The whole staff was welcoming and cordial. Can’t think of a better place in Tucson to observe 48 years of marriage!
On May 2 2023 my family and i visited Kingfisher on grant rd. There were 14 of us, we requested large back room, which we’ve done many times, only because it was a family favorite. Under new ownership they now charge a 2000.00 dollar fee for the room, if its not met with your food and beverage bill you have to make up the difference, we new that going forward, remember May 2 was on a Tuesday , restaurant was empty.

Kingfisher Bar & Grill is a top spot for seafood in Tucson, serving dishes like Hawaiian fish. The menu also features unique desserts such as chocolate mousse cake. The service is fantastic, with staff members, including the owner, providing A+ rated service that keeps glasses filled and customers happy. The atmosphere of the dining room was unique. Open, nicely decorated, especially the main lighting fixtures. Prices are on the higher side, making it a great option for special occasions. Guests can enjoy tasty cocktails, fresh seafood, and a great wine and spirits list in a nice setting. The restaurant has a decent-sized parking lot and encourages reservations due to limited seating. Kingfisher is known for its support of local non-profits, making it not just a dining experience but a community-focused destination. The staff were so attentive, polite, genuine, and welcoming. The blackened grilled shrimp was the best shrimp ever had. The ribs were tender, smokey and seasoned well. The Hawaiian Fish dish was very nicely done, the rice & fish were a great pairing. The sweet potato chips were an exciting addition to the dish. The Chocolate Cake did not disappoint. The real magic of this place is the SERVICE.
