The food here is a little different than most Mexican restaurants in town, and it is a great place if you love cheese. I do love cheese. Any restaurant that serves a plate of melted cheese (queso fundido) is 5 stars in my book!
Went with the family from out of town yesterday. It's a great traditionally feeling Mexican place with friendly and accommodating staff quick service and an excellent ambiance. Great starter salsa an chips, the tomatillo was fantastic I wish they'd sent you home with a bottle. The chips were also quite fresh and delicious. Then the highlight of the visit, they have a chimichanga covered in jalapeno cream cheese sauce, it's the closest thing we've had to Pollo...
This restaurant has been around a long time. I've gone there multiple times. It's offerings are Mexico City style. The food is always very good. The prices are a bit high but the quality and quantity is great. They seem somewhat shorthanded, but the staff tries there very best. The interior hasn't changed in the 30 years I've been going there. The management however is somewhat disengaged. My son and I showed up without a reservation which is not uncommon there....
