Salad and breadsticks were great. Service was good. The lasagna was salty. The Chicken piccata was un appealing and raw when cut into
We love Mama Louisa's. The food is always terrific. It is one of the few Italian restaurants that has Gluten Free Pasta and Marinara without cheese as I am both Gluten Free and Dairy Free. We love our favorite servers Sara and Kayla as they are always right on it. We love to support local Tucson business and Mama Louisa's makes it easy to do that.
We met with a friend we had not seen in 40 years! Mama Louisa's has always been the go to for family dinners! We had the best server! She gave us time to catch up and just enjoy our time before we ordered! Everything was perfect! As always!
Been coming to this restaurant for many years. Itβs so good. I love their fettuccine and the joes special.
Was there on a Friday night and the place was virtually empty at 7pm and that should tell you something.
My wife and I started off with the Golden Wings. Two of them were cold on the inside. The bread sticks were obviously not homemade and looked like you got them from a package. My wife had the Chicken Piccata and it literally had no flavor and the portion was very small. My dish was just ok.
Not sure how this places stays in business honestly.

Ordered an antipasta plate to split with guests and server brought a plate full of onion slices with salad dressing on them. No cold cuts, no cheese, one small roma tomato quartered and a couple of strips of red pepper, a couple of pieces of cauliflour and that was it. $22 for a freaking onion.
My husband and I went here to celebrate his retirement. Our first clue to turn around and walk out was that the dining room was practically empty at 7 pm on a Friday night. We ignored out gut feelings unfortunately and went ahead with ordering. His seafood soup was pretty decent, but my Chicken Piccata was horrible. Bland and boring. Not at all what I expected from a restaurant claiming 70 amazing years of business. We are pretty handy in the kitchen, but I really wanted a "Nonna" experience. HUGE let down. The biggest waste of money I have experienced in some time. My husband surprised me a couple days later by making a Chicken Piccata recipe he found on-line. He presented me a meal I should have gotten at our dinner out.
We loved our food, especially the steamers. Really quality Italian food that I didnβt know existed in Tucson!

Had an awesome dinner at Mama Louisaβs tonight. The atmosphere feels like a classic old-school Italian restaurant with a family vibe, huge portions, and great homemade pasta. The sauce tasted fresh and authentic, and the breadsticks were addicting. Service was friendly and the food came out hot and fast. Definitely one of those local Tucson spots that keeps you coming back. Highly recommend if you want comforting Italian food and generous portions.
