The days on a fun experience at McDonald’s are dead and gone. You’d be hard pressed to see an actual employee for more than a brief moment and it’s not long enough to be helped or for them to even acknowledge your presence. The ordering system is completely digitized and machine driven. There is no one working to lobby or dining room so each and every table were caked with dried ketchup spots or crumbs from diners who knows when. Refills are over, napkins have to be requested, ketchup and condiments aren’t available for self service any more but again, you can’t find a person anywhere but hidden in the kitchen.
I understand the business model and automating everything. If you can save money by eliminating paid positions, it adds to the profit - I get it. But this entire experience has absolutely deterred me from visiting any McDonald’s not just this one.

When we walked in today, I wasn't expecting anything special. Just another average McDonald's meal in the boring new modern building.
But I was very surprised! The staff were very friendly and welcoming, gave a fantastic vibe. But the BEST part was THE MASCOT COSTUME! A Birdie mascot was walking around the restaurant, presumably because of the school fundraiser going on? (we did get a couple cookies for that, very pleasant and fun)
It's amazing seeing the mascots still being a part of McDonald's identity, and it easily highlighted this from an average experience to something worth talking about!
The ONLY thing that would've made this experience better is if the new renovated building wasn't so corporate and lifeless. Fun colours and architecture make older locations so much more welcoming! Not to mention the nostalgia. That's worth capitalizing on! (as long as isn't done artificially and carelessly. Fans can tell)

This is the first time I’ve ever written a review. I ordered online so I could pick up my food early because I’m a student and had a test that day. I chose to pick it up through the drive-thru, but when I got there, the drive-thru was packed, so I decided to go inside instead. The app said my order was ready, but it turns out it wasn’t. I ended up waiting for 45 minutes. Remember, I HAVE AN EXAM!!!
I even had to call my brother, who was waiting outside. He works in the Air Force and was in uniform. It was his lunch break, and HE ENDED UP BEING LATE to work because of the delay.
You know what’s disappointing? This place was my favorite Mcdonald’s. I go here every night after studying when I get hungry. I can’t believe this place would be the reason that I can’t take my exam.
Ordered Quarter with cheese deluxe with medium fries —- food was HOT and prepared Just Right —- Great Job
