Ordered the brisket plate with the beans and coleslaw. Always good but did not realize sauce was already added. Would recommend asking customer if they would like sauce on the side. I like to taste the meat, the portion that was not covered was very good and moist. The sauce was good and sweet but rather taste the meat.

I had high hopes for Mr Ken but it fell somewhat below my expectations. It was clean, the staff was attentive but the pulled pork was so drowned in saucethat I couldn't decide whether the meat came out of a fire grilled smoker or a kitchen smoker. I'll go back and try the ribs and mixed greens before I decide whether I'm right or wrong

I was in Tuscon for 2 nights on a work trip, looking for somewhere to eat for dinner. It must be kismet that I stumbled across a restaurant that goes by the same name as my grandpa, Mr. K! I'm always a bit suspicious of BBQ outside of SEC country, but from the smell outside, I knew something good was to be had. And of course, the chef is from the land of BBQ! (Arkansas/Louisiana... sorry, not sorry Texans!) I ordered a 3-meat plate as a sampler and it did not disappoint....
