The New York Pizza Department restaurant may have a funny name, but their food is terrific. In my experience, based on ten or twelve visits to the Tanque Verde location over the past couple of years, the pizza and subs are particular standouts. The crumbly Italian sausage pizza topping is one example. It's delicious and full of flavor without overwhelming the tastebuds or the other ingredients. First and foremost, I personally find the prices here to be on the high side. That said, value isn't really entirely about the price alone, value is the feeling the exchange was fair at the end of the transaction.
I've never visited this place were I left unhappy or hungry. I feel that quality and quantity aren't compromised. Unlike most other places I never feel cheated here.

Still very tasty. Suddenly it’s thin sliced and our pizza was barely cut. I Spent $38 for a 20 inch.. I have been buying NYPD PIZZA for years but I’ll Be checking out other local pizza shops now too. I need to trust that there will be consistency.
