This small hole in the wall Mexican restaurant serves some pretty decent fare. Their chips and salsa stand out as being excellent. The rest of the menu items are the typical Mexican fare and are all solid choices. Our sever was friendly and the food arrived quickly. The ambience is typical for a Mexican restaurant. The prices tend to be slightly high by a couple of dollars per entree. If you are price sensitive, this may not be the place for you.
This place is very good, Esperanza was the best meet and my family had just gotten into Tucson and was looking for a place to eat and found this place. What hidden gem. We walked in 10 minutes before closing time and thought we would be turned away, but no they took us right in, there were 7 of us and all of us had a great experience and the food was so good and delicious. The great part about it they did not rush us to get out of there. So if you want good authentic Mexican food...
Our ABSOLUTE favorite Mexican restaurant in all of Tucson. We've been going here for 30+ years and it is our first stop for food when we fly into Tucson. It's not fancy, but we love the place with the murals on its walls and the fabulous food. Try the green corn tamales and the cheese crisp! Oh, and buy a calendar. They are super cool, too.
