Short version: This Starbucks is great for convenience, and also if you enjoy deceptive business practices and price gouging.
Long version: While the staff were helpful and efficient, and my drink was great, the prices are deceptive and ridiculously inflated. I understand that third-party locations like this one have different price points than other local Starbucks stores. I get that. However, in town in Tuscon, a tall flat white costs $5.25. At this JW Marriott, it's LISTED at like $6.25. Ok, fine. But then she rang up my drink, it came to 6.64, plus additional tax. All of those numbers just listed were before tax. I pointed out the fact that the listed price did not match the price she rang up. She mumbled something about how those listed prices are different because it's "resource price" vs "retail price". I pointed out that perhaps it's illegal to list one price and charge another.
Furthermore, the employee stated that those misleading prices have always been listed that way, and they have informed their managers that many people complain about it. (It's not like, oh, we updated our prices and these just need to be re-signed.)
So either they are deliberately misleading customers with their signage, or the employees are pocketing the difference, which i find unlikely.

Extremely fast service here! There is a seating area in the back with amazing views. If you're not at the resort, you can park near the trail area (Bowen trail), this Starbucks is right there and there's always street parking. Worth the visit here, such a beautiful area with quick and friendly service.

We ordered breakfast sandwiches and coffee and the person taking our order was very friendly. After getting our order, we for salt and pepper and the employee brought 1 each for the 2 of us. I asked for 1 more and got an eye roll and the employee made a face. The manager asked if there was a problem and when I said I wanted salt and pepper she just shrugged.

The barista who gave me my drink was curt and unfriendly. I asked her a question about my drink and she answered with no enthusiasm. She acted as if I was totally interrupting her day. I've been to several Starbucks locations and have never felt so unwelcomed.

Probably the slowest and most disorganized Starbucks I have been to. Very bad hours . .closed at 2 pm. No chance of getting and early evening treat or jolt of caffeine if needed.

It's a Starbucks. If that is what you are looking for, this is a really good one. The staff were extremely friendly and quick and helpful. We walked from a nearby condo we rented just to take a walk, see the Marriott Resort and get a good cup of Starbucks. And the Starbucks delivered as a very well run Starbucks.

Alan is the best! He was very accommodating and thoughtful and went above and beyond! We appreciated his friendly demeanor and was very personable and would highly recommend the Starr Pass Starbucks to all of our friends!
It's always nice to have something that you know what to expect from when you're away from home...no surprises. This Starbucks fit the bill. The lines were pretty long sometimes, but moved quickly. It did close earlier than it should in my opinion.

A Starbucks with at the JW Marriot resort Star Pass outside of Tucson. Open from 6am to Noon 7 days a week. Great stop when just lazing about or prior to the start of your business day. The employees at this Starbucks are wonderful and friendly and over my two recent trips I had wonderful chats about the area and the national parks. Stop by and tell them Devin said hello!
