Great little jazz club in downtown Tucson. Small venue, maybe 60 people. Saw a 16 piece jazz orchestra. Acoustics were great. Real old-timey, speakeasy feel. Lots of parking garages around. Minimal food in the club (mostly bar snacks). Extensive drink menu (there is a one drink minimum per person). Buy tickets in advance. There was no walk up sales. Definitely recommend.
Great Jazz but you need to know what you want hear. Food is only snacks. Service is iffy. Charged me for extra more than the menu. Said it was for a 2oz. Pour instead of the menu pour which was 1.5oz. A pour is a pour is a pour and a price is a price.
Any jazz fan must come here for the Monday night big band sets. The band is tight, will rehearsed, and enthusiastic. Great arrangements. Intimate venue with unobstructed line of sight. The leader has a fun, wry sense of humor as he talks about the music and the band members.
With $25 ticket price and one drink minimum, this is a great value.
Kudos to this venue for keeping jazz alive and vibrant.
