At first glance The Glowbal restaurant at the Sheraton Tucson, a Marriott asset, appears to be very much like any other generic duplication of usual, ubiquitous and very basic standardized and extremely ultra-modern hotel restaurants. With its common tables and chairs, drab décor, universal motifs, morning breakfast commonalities, the open huge windows to view parts of the property, and the comings and goings of the welcoming staff hustling back and forth devotedly and courteously...
The salami and cheese platter was lackluster, 5 pieces each of cracker, salami, and cheese. The bread came to the table after 25 minutes, dry as a bone, even after attempting to soak it in oil. The beer was good, hard not to be when I get to pour it from the unopenned can myself.
I recently found myself near the hotel on another unrelated matter. When I asked Google for a nearby restaurant my phone immediately listed the Glowbal. After reading the menu, I immediately noticed the NY Pastrami which caught my eye. The $25 price tag also caught my eye.
To be honest the mere thought of dropping $25 on a sandwich and fries for lunch was slightly outside what l would normally consider as value friendly.
