Came here for my bday dinner but was disappointed in both the service and the food. We were seated and didn’t receive water until 10-15 minutes, despite plenty of waiters walking around. The glassware on the table was also dirty, there were smudges and hair on it. Once we ordered (from the very expensive menu) we waited for at least an hour to get the food. Our waitress hardly checked on us and left us waiting even when we finished. Finally, the food was mediocre. My steak was overcooked and the portions were small.

Our server was very attentive, knowledgeable, and accommodating. I made a switch for my main entree after ordering and he easily made the change without a hitch. Everything was delicious and presented well. The atmosphere was upscale without being stuffy.

It is always a treat to go to Hacienda Del Sol! The service is top notch! The food is delicious and the presentation beautiful! Their cocktails are delicious and they have an exceptional wine list! The view from the main dining area is breathtaking. This is a special place!!!

We were so excited to try this place on my birthday. We went on my actual birthday for Sunday brunch. The food was a mixed bag. Some things were great, but others were disappointing. I don't expect much from a buffet, but I do expect the food to be hot. Cold Eggs Benedict were unpleasant, however, we both had tasty cooked to order omelets. Now, for the awful: our service was absolutely terrible! We booked this table a month in advance and requested a table by the window. We were stuck in a little corner. The manager did remedy this for us, but we shouldn't have had to ask.Our server was also terrible. She was rude and dismissive starting with our drink order (juice and coffee; no alcohol). Then, she brought our check just after we sat down with our first plates. The only time she came back to our table after that was when we flagged her down. We looked around at her other tables and none of them had bills. We were the only ones and there was really only one difference between us and the other diners: we are women of color. I'm NOT saying she and some of the other staff were racists, because there is no way for me to know that for sure. You can make your own assumptions. I will say we were dressed in designer clothing with designer bags. The two of us are not new to fine dining and respected the quiet room. So, being dressed nicely and sitting quietly while being black got us "back of the bus treatment." Please be better.

Wow wow wow. I have eaten here twice now with my family and the experience has been incredible each time. On both occasions I had the pleasure of being waited on by Angelo, a thoughtful young gentleman who goes above and beyond for others to make sure their experience is as enjoyable as possible and without a doubt unforgettable. I always look forward to the great service just as much as I do to the gorgeous sunset view from the dining room. If you really want to wow someone special to you, dine at Hacienda Del Sol. Should you happen to have Angelo as your server, I assure you won't be disappointed. What a guy.Dietary restrictions: Accommodates gluten allergy

The dining room is beautiful and elegant, and the service is outstanding. We ate there on only one occasion for dinner, so our opinion on the food applies only to the dishes we sampled. The Hacienda salad, which included bleu cheese, was not tasty. We should have chosen the only other choice, a Caesar variant. The Bouillabaisse had ample fresh seafood, but the tomato cream soup base would have benefitted from a bit more zip. Maybe I am unfairly comparing it to a Coppino, which I normally would prefer. My wife, who is a light eater, ordered the tenderloin tips appetizer as her entree. This turned out to consist of beef that was somewhat mushy in texture due to a strangely sweet marinade. She didn't care for it at all. To the restaurant's credit, they offered to deduct this from the bill. Selection of wines by the glass was somewhat limited, but not overpriced. Opt instead for the wonderfully prepared cocktails. Steven, a great bartender, prepared their top shelf Nobleman Margarita substituting Sombra Reposada Mezcal for the tequila. It was the best Margarita I have ever tasted.

We've done the brunch experience here before and I felt that there was something lacking this time. There just isn't enough variety. For the price, I expected a bit better.

The only reason to come to this restaurant is the view and gardens. Do not order the seafood tower, it was served all cold, no clarified butter and it was salty. The salads were good and the cocktails were tasty. They are missing a really great opportunity to be first class. You will notice on a Saturday night that you can find a table at the last minute, and now I know why.

Good food, really bad service. I ordered wine with dinner, followed up twice with the server, and it didn't show up till dinner was over. I complained, and they took 20% off the bill. But really, I just wanted my glass of wine! Why was that so hard?? Considering their price point, I expected better. I'd think twice before I went back.

We had a lovely experience. The view was spectacular, the service was excellent, the sommelier was knowledgeable and charming. Great wine selection!!!! It was mostly great, didn't care for one entree. Otherwise a perfect date night!

We ordered the seafood tower ($145) and it all came out cold. We obviously expected the shrimp, mussels, and oysters to be cold, but not the crab and lobster. The menu fails to mention all of the food will be served cold. When we said something to the waitress she said "it's always this way" and walked away. The crab was mushy, the hot sauce the menu states comes with the meal was not brought to our table, and pieces of the lobster were chewy. We asked for a Coke and they never brought it. Once we finished eating it took ten minutes to get the bill and another ten minutes for them to come retrieve it.

It's a fancy place for a date night or anniversary. I highly recommend the risotto. Very delicious. I had the filet, which I didn't particularly like. It didn't melt in your mouth. The texture was gritty and chewy. The lobster bisque was not good at all. You get huge chucks of lobster, but they were very chewy. The desserts you delicious. The waiter was super nice and on point.

We have eaten at this iconic restaurant for decades and it's always been great and one of our favorites. This was still very good, but the food wasn't up to what we've experienced, so we don't know if there's a new chef here. The sommelier was outstanding as was our server. But the food just wasn't quite up to our high expectations.
