I had high hopes for Trattoria Pina after hearing good things, but unfortunately, my visit was very disappointing. The dishes were bland and poorly prepared — far from authentic Italian cooking. The pasta was overcooked and swimming in a watery sauce that tasted more like canned tomatoes than anything fresh. The shrimp dish I ordered was flavorless. To make matters worse, everything arrived lukewarm, as if it had been sitting out for a while before being served. For the prices they charge, I expected much better quality and attention to detail. Overall, Trattoria Pina really missed the mark. With so many other great Italian spots nearby, I won’t be coming back anytime soon.

We made reservations and were seated right away even though we were about 15 minutes to early. The wait staff was attentive without being pesky and very polite. Four of us had four different dishes and all were excellent. The bread was mmmmm good. Two desserts were ordered Cannoli (two per order) and Tiramisu. The three Italians (I'm not Italian and thought it was excellent) raved about the authenticity of the food and desserts. The owner stopped by the table and visited with us. We were not rushed. Very enjoyable meal and evening.

Has the most amazing cakes ever! The pumpkin cake is moist with wonderful spices that compliments the pumpkin flavor perfectly. Always a great spot to eat at!
Wonderful atmosphere, wonderful service, but the food was a little disappointing for a $30 meal. While the fettuccine Vanessa was tasty, it was the little touches that disappointed: The parmesan cheese was commercial powdered stuff rather than fresh grated, and the broccoli was overcooked. Nonetheless, I will likely go back to try some other delicious-looking dishes on the menu, simply because I generally won't completely write off a restaurant after just one visit.
