The food at Trocadero Cafe is sooo good. The wait might be a little longer than you’re used to but the food is worth it. This family‑owned business makes fresh homemade food and the premises are super clean. You can literally see what the chef is preparing. The owner personally recommended a couple of favorites and the menu includes carne asada in a burrito, tacos, enchiladas, chips and guacamole, asada, beans and rice, Carnitas plate and breakfast. The carne asada and tacos were served promptly and well prepared. The waiter was very friendly and explained the menu items. The enchiladas were genuinely delicious and the chips and guacamole were the best in Tucson. The salsa was fantastic and the food was visually amazing. The food quality is solid and the taste is fantastic. A little more transparency would go a long way but the food itself absolutely deserves a return visit. The beans and rice were good too. The place is a Mexican cuisine treasure and definitely worth a coming back again.
