The food was surprisingly good given the description of the restaurant. They have a wide variety of food. Service was good despite being very busy.

Always love coming here for lunch with a good friend. Cocktails very pricey although delicious...check out the ginger margarita...and food a little pricey but very tasty and clean for the lack of a better word. You come away satisfied and not bogged down with a lot of wasted fat and calories. Bottom line... you get what you pay for

La Encandata has a host of really good restaurants, and True Food is the cream of the crop. Four of us dined here for both lunch and dinner. The food is delicious, the drinks are exceptional, and the service is very accommodating! On a nice day, the bar opens up to the patio and is a great place to watch a game from the patio. We could drive 30 minutes to the Fashion Island location in Orange County, but they don't have Chanel mixing drinks behind the bar :). she will take very good car of you and worth the 7 hour drive from CA.

True Food Kitchen has decently tasty food that is very healthy & fresh...but meagerly portioned.

I've been to True Food a few times in the past, as they also have locations in the Southern California area.
My family is mostly vegan and we were stopping by La Encantada for the day - True Food is a great option for plant-based/vegan foods, so we stopped here for lunch.

There's a lovely patio outside of it that we found a table on, and our server was very friendly and efficient with his service.

I appreciated that there were shades they could bring down if there was sun in your face (which it so often is when it's low in the sky on winter afternoons).

As for the food, we shared a Mediterranean Hummus Appetizer, and I also ordered the Plant-Based Double Cheeseburger in order to give it a try!
The Hummus Appetizer was very fresh and had great quality hummus with some red pepper and other spices/seasonings in it.
I would've preferred more normal slices of pita bread rather than the crunchy, baked flatbread pieces they have instead...but it's still good quality and flavorful to go with the hummus.
I found the portion size a bit disappointing for the price, however, and we paid $2 extra to get more of the baked flatbread pieces since there were so few to enjoy the hummus with.

The Plant-Based Double Cheeseburger was....decent, although the pale white color of the buns were a bit off-putting, and the burger was a tad bit bland when it came to seasoning/flavor.
I would have to say that there's many other vegan burgers I've had in the past that I would much prefer over this one, especially for the $20 price tag.

I got an espresso martini for my drink, and it was very well made with good flavor, strength, and the right mix of all the ingredients.

Overall, True Food Kitchen is a solid option for healthier food, especially if you have a plant-based/vegan diet.
It is, however, also a bit overpriced and small with their portions...and I HAVE had better vegan food than this at other places.

We normally love True Food Kitchen and have eaten at several locations in Arizona and California with consistently great experiences. Tonight was our first visit to the Tucson, AZ location, and unfortunately it did not meet the standard we are used to.

I rarely leave negative reviews or complain about food (after all, I didn’t have to cook it). The first issue was the extremely long wait for our food. Given that it’s the holiday season and the restaurant was busy, this was understandable.

However, when our food finally arrived, the chicken strips and French fries were burnt—so badly that I was shocked they were served. One of the main reasons we choose True Food Kitchen is because our children have Celiac disease and must eat gluten-free. True Food has always been a reliable go-to for us, and we’ve never had issues at other locations.

My son’s burger arrived with a gluten-free bun that was literally rock hard. I understand gluten-free bread isn’t always great, but this was inedible. You could even tell from how the bun was cut that the kitchen struggled to slice it. It was disappointing that burnt food and rock-hard bread were sent out at all.

Our other meals were okay, but not the quality we normally expect from True Food Kitchen.

That said, the waitress and manager were excellent. They promptly brought out replacement meals (though those also took quite a while) and ultimately comped our entire meal.

That said, someone really needs to do a quality check in the kitchen. The food coming out of the Tucson location does not match the quality we’ve consistently experienced at other True Food Kitchen restaurants.

Nice interior, but the experience didn’t match the atmosphere. Our pizza came out burnt on the bottom and tasted like charcoal, and the quinoa bowl was bland and dry. The edamame dumplings were the only standout dish. Staff felt inattentive or disinterested...basic things like utensils/sharing bowls had to be asked for and the overall vibe was meh.

High quality food and even better service. The American Burger was cooked exactly as requested and the bun never got soggy. Cheesy Mashed Potatoes were good but a smaller portion than I expected, The breading (gluten free) on the chicken fingers was really tasty. Service was attentive and didn't miss a beat. Seems like the staff has a great sense of urgency and teamwork.

It could be a nice place if they didn't serve true cafeteria food.

I took a chance on this restaurant and was absolutely thrilled with the service in particular. The food was great too (poke and edamame dumplings for me, a burger for my plus-one).

We ate at 4pm so it wasn't crowded and service was quick. The food was excellent. Had the Brussels sprouts appetizer and it had a very hot kick to it.

I reserved a table for 5 with a request for a high chair and they provided a wonderful table and did not forget about the high chair. Special cudos to Manager Brian Borochaner and Hostess Kendal who went the extra mile to make sure all my requests for a Birthday dinner for my husband were completed to make our dinner at True Foods just so special! Thank you so much! My husband and I love True Foods! The food is always wonderful and the chef and his crew always go the extra mile to make sure each meal is one to remember!

Service was good...very attentive. My wife's hamburger was a bit too well done, but the issue was quickly and easily taken care of. Loved the lasagna. Everyone there is friendly. We always enjoy our meals at True Food Kitchen.
