Been here twice, both times the bun crumbled apart.. it’s not a gluten free bun so I was bummed the first time then pretty upset the second. Yesterday 7/8 was the second time, about a month ago was the first. If it wasn’t for the mess it made and being super annoying eating a pile of bun and other ingredients, I would’ve gave 5 stars. Remove the cost and it’s still upsetting, then you add the cost factor…. Can y’all address the bun issue?

The buns weren’t toasted and the toppings on the burgers were constructed and layered in a strange, unconventional way that naturally led to congealed cheese and incredibly, incredibly soggy buns. Thankfully they seem to know this is an issue, as they provided a fork and knife with each.

The fries were actually really good, but the selection of sauces was limited. Their namesake uptown sauce is not nearly good or even unique enough to warrant them not carrying other options. A lot of misplaced confidence.

The walls were stained and dirty with some weird red residue that I’m only 90% sure was paint and not some bodily fluid. The whole place only had one other table seated - at 5 PM on a Saturday, no less.

The menus were very limited and physically falling apart and there were large padlocks on the display cases for their wine (a bit strange and a little paranoid given the wine in question was an assortment of $12 bottles of Banfi La Rime.)

The staff seemed checked out. Not rude, but they seemed miserable. I don’t expect fake enthusiasm, but nobody ever even asked how it was. They seemed generally annoyed to have to serve us.

The meal was 40$ without drinks and with one side of fries to split between two people, but the quality was on par with a fast food place that costs half that.

Maybe it used to be good, but if so, it has seen better days. The poor attempt at a Tuscan vibe made it feel like they thought they are better than they are. I can’t imagine they will maintain their high rating without a facelift and a reality check.

Been dining at Uptown, regularly, since it opened. Surprisingly, after all, it is a hamburger joint, the salads are top-notch, too.

Don't sleep on that French dip burger, for its (hated) ciabatta bread was rather perfect . Would've been nice to monch down inside but the outdoor patio is far more open and spacious. I'd give them another go!

It’s a good burger joint nothing outstanding considering we have way better options for true gourmet burgers in Tucson. Plus we got water, fries and french dip in plastic containers while dining in … really? Major turn off. I’m dining in. Let’s go all the way with normal plate ware shall we? All good. Just nothing to write home about.

Dietary restrictions: I am eating low card. They do all burgers with a bunless option. The Tuscan burger, bunkess, was basically a great salad.

The French dip burger is so good - definitely my favorite burger place in Tucson. The Nashville chicken sandwich is good too - could be a bit spicier - but it's HUGE!!! About the same price as fast food places but the quality and taste is so much better. I usually order online and pick it up - it's always ready by the time I get there, ~10 minutes away. Great job Uptown Burger.

I love this place. It's everything you'd expect from Daniel Scordato. Maybe the best burger on Earth.
